You probably already know that feel I'm talking about.

The feel when you spend 5 hours starting and restarting a level, spend the last hour and a half getting through the map flawlessly, good level up stats, the whole bit. Finish off every single enemy and life's good. Until you get to the final boss AND MISREAD THE BATTLE DETAILS AND LOSE A CHARACTER. I've made this mistake like three hundred times but I never fail to want to throw the game across the room and smash it into a wall. :<

Thanks. c: It's Sacred Stones, Chapter 14 in the Castle through Ephraim's campaign. It's a relatively easy chapter, just very time consuming... Although, I have the method down (I know every move I made exactly through turn 3 haha), it's just freaking irritating. Usually when this happens I'll put the game down for a few weeks, so I may end up doing that again. That's the thing about this game; it's so addicting, yet so damn frustrating. D:

I know how you feel in a way, except it was for a different game called "Shadow of the Colossus". I was playing that game and was doing pretty well then the final Colossus comes and I keep dying for hours kept trying and trying again to beat the boss. It got frustrating and eventually just put down and walked away from the game for like 6 months...then I came back and finished it on the first try and went, "what the hell!" lol

Like Oujay say except with a different games and mostly toward items or titles. I hate it when it happened. >.<

It's understandable if you're playing the game the first time. But when you play the game again and you know everything, you tend to forget the secret characters/items/title/whatever before heading to the boss. Therefore, you have to restart the game all over again just to get that certain piece. >.<

I'm going through almost the exact same thing ><; Playing Sacred Stones, though I'm on Eirika's campaign instead of Ephraim's. I forgot how much stuff there is to get/do in those chapters and ended up having to restart most of them just to get the stuff. Also, Amelia died a few times right after I got her cause I brain-farted and left her in range for the enemy to just come over and kill her ><

That was my life before save states/playing Shadow Dragon.

Shadow Dragon made me just not care anymore about my units.

So aware of that feeling. Everything going great, then one tiny little thing goes wrong and... RAGE. RAGE. RAGE.
On the tangent of smashing gaming equipment into walls and/or generally getting violent with it...

There's this game called F-ZERO GX. Anyone familiar with it, is also familiar with the fact that it's brutally hard... oh but one can get used to killing other racers eventually (literally the best way to win Ch7 VH, and killing your rival wins you Masters), or learn every track perfectly (needed if you want to get anywhere in that game), but some times, the physics just **** you over (going 1 Km/H too fast? Hit a bump, go bouncing around like a rag doll. Lose 3 places to a couple guys boosting. Never catch up because you're low on Energy.).

Back in '04 I spent about 12-13 hours trying to beat Story Mode Ch1 Very Hard mode. Ch1 is simple: Race around Mute City: Sonic Oval (the easiest track in the game, which coincidentally is the hardest to unlock-- you have to beat all Master Rank Cups in the normal game (AKA: GP mode) to unlock the AX cup. Then you have to beat said AX cup (On Master, IIRC, although Master on AX cup is fairly easy compared to the others...) and buy the track with tickets.) and collect all these "objects". The problem is how they're placed and the time limit. It takes perfect execution down to the pixel in positioning to get all of them on Very Hard and beat that time limit.... I once got all of them... then missed the timelimit (you have to finish the third lap) by 00'00'001. Promptly threw my Wavebird across my room. Broke it in half. So. Much. Rage. (I did, however, beat it the next day.)

I didn't want to admit to failing at F-Zero... so I made up some b/s lie about a horribly bad ending involving a female lead dying in a certain JRPG on the 'cube (*cough*Symphonia*cough*) that made me have the same reaction (And true, if Colette did, in fact, die at the end of that game, I would've chucked my controller across the room in rage... in a case of a certain GBA game with a similar ending to the fake one, I catapulted a cartridge.). Hilariously, my friends believed it. And for some dumb reason, "cgraptor" as he's called, didn't catch on to the fact that it was fake until... late last year. >_<;;;
There's nothing left to lose..!
The fight never ends!!
I can't face the DARK without you!
