She grew up traveling all over the Isle with her adored parents in there caravan troup. Her parents where her friends, mentors and guides. They showed her a world that seemed to be Magical to her young eyes. They showed her how to treasure and respect life around her.
The beauty of dance, music, fortunes and ancient wisdom passed down from generations previous she learned from her mother. She learned how to build a song with a carefully thought out dance moves, to paint a picture for others to experince. To make others feel a certain way with the song and dance. To sooth, cheer, make people laugh or even cry.
Her father taught her through games he created to challange her young mind and body. He had her practice defending herself without a weapon at first to gauge what would be best to teach her. At first she was having a difficult time till she thought to use her quick dancer-like movements to weave and doge aimed kicks and puches. This showed him she would be perfect for daggers and so he begin to teach her.
Others in the caravan taught her other useful tricks that might be useful to know. How to pick locks, indentify herbs, berries, animals. One person even taught her how to care for horses and let her ride one every once in a while. She loved to be around two of the un-tame horses so much she started to sneek off and lay down next to them. They did not seem to be bothered by her presence at all yet anyone tried to get near they would become agitated and warn them off effectively protecting her. Her parents became amused with this and decied that Celest should care for the two young as of yet tamed horses claiming she had a speical touch with them.
One horrible night everything changed,
They finally reached the very outskirts of there destenation. It would only be another mid-days ride to reach the town. She could not wait for tomarrow would be her 7th birthday and she would be able to finally preform a special dance her mother had helped her put-together. As if that was not exciting enough her parents gave her an early birthday present. A beautiful silver locket with a picture ingraved on the front of it. There is a rowan tree and a stag standing there staring straight at you as if able to see into your heart. She reconized the tree as the sysmbol from her family's troup but not the stag. She asked why there was a stag but they smiled and side it was a guide. They told her to wear the lockat at all times but to keep it hidden so no one would see it for it was very important. She was currious why they would tell her this but promised them she would protect it and keep it hidden.
They set up camp at early dark telling her to lay down for they would be getting up before the sunrises. They wanted to reach town before mid-day meal. She laid there lissening to the grown ups whispering to soft to hear everything yet soothing enough for her to fall asleep. Bandits attacked there camp in the dead of night after waiting for the grown ups to finally fall asleep. There was no warning to give the attackers away, swiftly and deadly they killed people of the troup left and right. Her father had reacted swiftly to the attack charging into the battle with the bandits who clearly where sent assassins. She woke to the noise of the distressed horses. She kept low as to not show herself but saw her father fight the attackers with a movements so fast they where like blurs to her eyes. She knew he could fight but had never seen this before. It was like her father was a whole different person who had much more experice in fighting than a normal gypsy would have. Yet for all the passion and skill he fought with it was not enough. The bandits stroke him down but not without ingeryies of there own. While the bandits looked through the vaulibles she ran into the woods on silent feet. She was all that was left of the bandits attack. Her and her two protective horses that is, who followed her without anyones notice.
The horses protected her as she traveled the woods on foot. She was scared and did not know where it would be that is safe. All she had was her night robe, necklace and her two horses. Soon someone found her and took her to a couple who claimed to be her grandparents though she never seen them before. They treated her kindly though and even let her sleep in the stables with her two horse friends.
