Headed by the mysterious and elusive Yahn Karter, this is asylum is a peaceful refuge for those who have cracked under the pressures of real life. Or those who just a little bit bonkers. But that is just on the outside. On the inside, the asylum houses sinister secrets and its eccentric owner may not be what he seems. Patients have a tendency to simply disappear while the secretive staff claims they were released back to their families.

At night, one can hear faint screams coming from deep within the asylum. Whether these are difficult patients just being difficult is anyone's guess but most of the patients like to claim these are those who have been taken away for Yahn's cruel experiments in a laboratory beneath the Asylum.

Residents:

Director:

Yahn Karter, - a strange man with silver hair and green eyes. He has a slight form and is rarely seen outside his office. When he is, he wanders the halls in a white lab coat, checking the patients. He seems friendly enough, if a little weird (but who wouldn't be in a place like this?) but all the patients are utterly terrified of him though no one will say why.


Long-term Patients:


Bianca - A quiet girl whose stalking and obsessive tendencies landed her in the asylum. Also, her questionable fashion sense.

Mary - A delusional girl that claimed to be an angel. Then again, she liked to claim a lot of things that clearly weren't true.

Vincent - This self proclaimed genius had a nervous breakdown when he cracked due to the pressure of trying to live up to his supposed intellect.

Victoria: A child-like vampire who went a little coo-coo in the head due to extreme loneliness and sexual frustration.

Mikhail - Controlling and narcissistic, this vampire lad had a tendency to stalk, belittle and abuse his girlfriends. His need to control finally led him to locking his girlfriend in the basement and lobotomizing her to keep her safe.

Angel - Mikhail's ex-girlfriend. She doesn't really do much but sit around quietly after Mikhail scrambled her frontal lobe in attempt to ensure she would stay safely by his side forever.

Mafuyu Katsuragi

Mafuyu was not as indifferent to the setting as Vivian and was cautiously making here way to the creepy place. If only Vivian was taller, Mafuyu would totally be hiding behind her. But Vivian was a chunk smaller than Mafuyu so hiding behind her would make Mafuyu hunch over and she knew that was bad for her back. So she just walked some paces away from Vivian.

"Vivian, I'm not sure about this place. I think we should go check out that jail cell after all. I mean, you don't know what we could find here." Mafuyu said, trying not to sound at all scared, but there was a small tremor in her voice. But Vivian didn't seem to be at all terrified or affected by the creepiness of the place and entered.

Mafuyu hesitated and followed after the smaller girl as she bravely started to ask if anyone was around. "Hey, let's go. There's no one here." Mafuyu hissed as she tugged on Vivian's sleeve.

Vivian heard footsteps and looked towards the direction and waited for the person to appear. He was a kind of smallish man and there was something about him that was rather familiar, but then again, when was she not feeling that everyone looked familiar. Over the years, she just started to see the same people, but maybe it was just her terrible memory. Yes, she will blame it on her bad memory.

"Hello." Vivian said. "My name is Vivian Sinclair. I came here because this is a possible place for this riddle that I found." Vivian held up the bottle to the man so he could take it from her. "There is a note inside which I believe led us here. May we search the place to look for it? Or perhaps you've seen it already? A bottle like this?"

"Oh how strange," Yahn said, blinking. He pulled a bottle out of his pocket. "I just found this in one of our empty rooms. Curious. I can't imagine how it got there but it seems to be the one you're looking for, yes?"

He handed it over to Vivian. "I've no need of it so you can have it. I'm not sure what's inside as I didn't open it." He laughed sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head again. "There are a lot of strange things that happen here on a daily basis so I didn't think much of it to be honest."

He smiled pleasantly at both ladies. "It's a pleasure to meet you both. Rosentale is a wonderful place, I hear. Ah, several of our patients are former students, though. But anyway, yes. I'm Yahn Karter, the administrator of this facility."

Mafuyu Katsuragi

He seemed like such a nice guy! What was this nice person doing in a place like this. It just didn't seem to fit his niceness! Mafuyu smiled happily. "Thank you, Mr. Yahn Karter! You really helped us out there. We really appreciate it!" Mafuyu said to him. "And it sure is a shame that some of our students are here. I hope that under your care they can get better and they can come back and join the other kids in Rosentale."

Mafuyu was not sure how that would work, but she still wanted to be wishy washy like she always was. She took the bottle form Vivian and pulled out the note from inside.

"Good work finding the second note. Now your hunt takes you to a boat.
A place where nature screams and lies the song of a really big stream.

To the third spot is not in the city, and the landscape is very pretty.
An angel sings with just her hands. A harp is played amongst the bands.

Go there and you will see, another riddle there will be.
My rhyme is lame. But it's the hint, just the same.

Mafuyu frowned. Well, at least the person had a sense of humor. "Any ideas where the third spot will be?"

((I fail at rhymes. D< I think we need to start wrapping up and I'll soon have Mafuyu guessing things right off the bat. ^^ The answer is: Harp's River. ))

Vivian bit her lip. Yeah, she was not coming to this dump again. He was odd. Quite odd. After all, a nice man in a place like this? He should be as crazy as the rest of them. Either that or Vivian was just being one heck of a betch. Vivian then turned to Mafuyu once he had gone.

"Alright. Obviously we're not going back to the city. It's in a forest or something. I would suggest checking out Harp's River, mainly because that's the only river I could think of around here." Vivian said to Mafuyu. "I wold like to leave before some kind of untimely accident befalls us in here."

After all, Vivian didn't have any potions on her at the moment. She was about as useless as a brat. Oh wait, she did know how to use magic circles, but she didn't have that much magical energy since it was capped. Her body was too small and youngish too hold too much magical power.
