"For your sake as well as mine. You know how hard it was to skin...?" The knife was tucked neatly into his belt, within easy hand-reach -- and the coin in a pocket not too far away. Ever's expression was still bright and pleased. There were good weeks, and bad weeks, and this was decisively a good one. Maybe he'd be able to put on a few pounds before he went back out.
A last muss of fingers through his hair, and then Ever pulled all of his furs back into place, light fingertips double checking all his belongings. Not a personal statement or concern, just an old habit. "Well. You know where to find me."

One side of Ayle's generous mouth pulled up -- a smile, but a wry one, a little edged. Oh, he knew where to find Ever, and if he needed him within the next week or so, all he'd have to do was stroll down to the tavern, or the pub, and find him. He thought to himself about sending Tristan to do it, since stirring Ever up out of the pub when the hunter was heavy with coin often incited things like spilled beer. Or vomit. Or stumbling into the mud. Or worse.
"Of course. Enjoy your coin."
