Every been chased by a wild animal, or had a frightening encounter with one? I thought it'd be interesting if anyone had any stories they could share about such encounters.

Years ago, my mom and I used to take walks at night around the neighborhood. It was a gated community, so we felt pretty safe. At one point, the gate was undergoing some maintenance, so for a week or so it was left wide open 24/7. One night when my mom and I left the house to take a nightly walk, we ran into a coyote. Those tend to shy away from people, but this one kept its' eyes on us and kept walking back and forth across the street.
My mom and I didn't want to run, so we just waited until the coyote left. When we thought he was gone, we started walking back to our house - when I looked over my shoulder, I saw the coyote trotting after us, and then my mom and I took off, ran into the house, and shut the door, lol.
It's not much as far as wild animals stories go, but thankfully that's the worst I ever had, and I admit at the time it was pretty scary.

the only thing ive been chased by was a wild goose, my mother had to start hitting it to keep it away from my sister and i.

luckily that was the only thing ive been chased by, ive accidently gotten too close to a bear before because i didnt see it until i was just 20ft away. took everything i had not to run in the other direction lol

One time when my sis and I were younger I heard somthing crashing through the woods and I yelled "OMG! ITS A BEAR!" and she ran up to the house screaming. It turned out to be our black dog Angel. rofl Lol. The worst thing Ive been chased by is bees and dogs tho I do see the occasional cyote.

Geese and swans are surprisingly aggressive for such docile-looking creatures. D=
Did you hear about the man who died recently because a swan had drowned him? o__o
I've never been chased by a goose, but I used to be pretty afraid of getting too near them when I was little (I still kind of am, lol.)

Lol! whee
Although bees are no joke to be chased by, especially as they can pretty much keep up with a person. Hopefully they didn't hurt you. =o

It ended badly both times. First time was headed with my lil sis and a friend to a creek in our back yard and we stumbled on black and white jacket massive hive. I had bees in my shirt, shorts and got stung anywhere between 9 and 11 times. (they dont die, they just keep stinging.) The second time Ive been involved with alot of bees, I was hanging out at my dads house and we heard screams through the woods. We ran to see what was going on (my fiance, dad and I) and to our horror we saw a 12 year old boy who had been mowing the lawn and ran over an underground yellow jacket hive. He was covered to the waist with bees. eek My dad was like "I aint going up there..." And my fiance backed off and said "Im allergic to bees..." so all that was left was little old me. I waltzed up there, asked the boy to grab my hand and I gently led him away from the hive. Getting sock like covering of bees. *shudders* And his family came OUT of the house after all this, complaining they didnt hear anything. I was like "I live about a half a mile away and YOU didnt hear it?! Inside the HOUSE?!" Seriously. All in all, I HATE BEES. I run away crying and screaming from all types of bees. gonk

Yee-ikes. gonk That is some pretty bad bee luck. ><
My dad once got stung by a bunch of bees when he was a kid. He and his friends were out playing in the woods, and one of his friends stepped on top of an old log and jumped on it. There was a beehive in there or something, because as soon as he jostled it, a swarm of bees came flying out and stung my dad and his friends. My dad ran all the way home getting stung the whole way - some bees even got into the house when he slammed the door shut.

I think Id rather die death by being chased by some large predatory cat then death by bees. Bees are terrible. And birds. Ive had hummingbirds divebombing me recently and i have no idea why. Lol. And Im sorry about your dad. My dog did that once. Poor thing. We couldnt let him in the house til we got the bees off. It was his own fault...He went digging and brought home bees...

I've heard hummingbirds do that - they sure can be aggressive for such tiny, pretty things. There are a lot of hummingbirds around here, and ever since hearing that they've been known to dive-bomb people, I'm always kinda wary whenever I see them. =o
That's too bad about your dog - poor thing didn't know any better, I guess. Thankfully, neither of my dogs have had any bad run-ins with other animals.
My black spaniel once encountered a raccoon that had canine distemper, but at least it didn't have rabies. ><

Lol, there's gratitude for you. XDD It's too bad they like to fight. I wonder if the aggression of a hummingbird differ from species to species...

When I was with my ex, he had a horse.
Well one day we were back there messing with her and he pissed her off and she charged us.
I flew over that fence. o,o
I was running as fast as I could, I don't even remember trying to climb the fence I just like flew over it.
I was scared shitless.

I used to have this awesome cat Named Dizzy. He was the coolest freaking cat. I was holding him one time and then I bent over and he climbed onto my back and took a nap. He used to let us spin him around in a chair too. If we were outside and he was in a playful mood he would chase me across the yard like a dog. I miss him.

I would never be chased by an animal because you have to run to be chased and that's a bad idea. They can always outrun you. But I was almost attacked by a pack of dogs. Took a bite out of me. -_-

My daughter got kicked in the but by our rooster just the other day while she was bending down to get the eggs evil

I kicked it in the but right back and my hubby hung him upside down for a few hours lol
While he was hanging my daughter was able to taunt it and "tell it who's boss" and we taught her how to put her arms up and yell at it if it comes near her like that again.
It taught the rooster to respect even the littlest of ours, and it taught my daughter to not be afraid of a dumb ol bird 3nodding

course, if he does it again he's gonna be dinner.

I have had the same hummingbird experience! How wierd. I was walking around at my college campus and a hummingbird nearly hit my face! I thought that since the animals at the school were so used to humans around them that they don't care about getting close.
