I just found my old copy of FFXII and decided to have a new play through of it. Last time I played it I just blew through the game with reckless abandon, with no thought to strategy or anything. I had been stuck on a point and got bored so I grinded (ground?) my characters in to walking tanks and just played the story, not bothering with side quests or any of the Hunts. This time around I want to use my head a bit and actually enjoy it. (I've blown my chance at the Zodiac Spear already, but there's always next time, right?)
I know that it technically doesn't have a class system, what with the license board and all that, but what do you guys think of these as setups for everyone?
Penelo: Sorceress (All Magick)
Basch: Tank (Sword + Axe + Hammers)
Ashe: Paladin (Sword & Shield + White Magick)
Balthier: Alchemist (Guns + Arcane Magick + Items)
Fran: Hunter (Bows + Techniks + some Green Magick)
Vaan: ???
The problem I have with Vaan is at the moment is: He's Kimahri. He starts in the middle with no specialization. I was thinking something like Tidus maybe, i.e. quick and hard hitting with Time Magicks for support. But I also thought maybe make him a Thief and just play a Gambit game.
