So, lately, I've been mulling over between two careers:
- Open a coffee shop.
- Become a licensed esthetician. (Aka: Skin Care Specialist.)

I've sat down, and wrote out the pros and cons of each one. And the esthetics one has won.

I'm not ready for another stressful job of running something of my own I have some knowledge about. I have no idea how to run a business and the thought of business school has made me cringe, for I sucked at it in college anyway. I've also been working in stressful jobs since I was walking, from farming, schooling, to my current one of working at a fitness center at the front desk.

I've been passionate about skin care anyway. Although I'm not perfect with some acne scarring and the occasional break-out, I'm eager to sit down and learn about it, methods of caring, etc. Plus, I can make a lot more than I'm making now. And working in an environment that relieves stress has been a major plus.

I've requested information from the nearest beauty school (which is about four hours away). I am away of the costs (Well, somewhat, their calculator on their site gave me the 2009/2010 estimate.) and everything. I have my own vehicle and willing to take the time to become a trained and licensed esthetician.

I've also been eyeing on a few items to help me on my studies, the top one being a computer tablet to use not only for education, but future needs as well. And yes, I'm an Apple Geek, so it's mostly going to be an iPad.

I'm even selling my old college textbooks that are still in use at colleges/universities to save up the money to get one. Besides, I needed to get rid of the books anyway.

So. Thoughts and opinions on this? I was in a rush writing this, but gotta go!

That is my sole purpose of the job. To improve the skin, not make you think you're beautiful. Because everyone is beautiful no matter what you are...

Unless you're that mom who took her kid tanning. That sends chills down my spine when I see her in the news. I find tanning to be skin abuse. D:
