Perhaps she would be willing to help him some in his research then, if she agreed to becoming his pet that was. It was even obvious from the way that Tashihara spoke that she enjoyed learning. "Is there anything specific that you would like to learn about? It is a little hard for me to know where to begin, but I have spent several centuries learning different things."

Tashihara Miyamota "I am open to learn anything you feel is worth teaching sir. I like to learn anything and everything. If it's to hard for you to pinpoint something you would care to pass on to me, then perhaps you could start with something you already know so much about: Your own kind." She hoped she wasn't being to forward about him teaching her and that he'd not taken offense to her bluntness.

She was willing to learn whatever he felt the need to teach her, he liked that. There were so many things that he could teach, the man just did not know where to start. He also possessed no knowledge about what sort of things she had already learned. The girl was right, his own race was the one thing he knew the most about. He had spent the past several centuries studying it. "That's as good a place as any to start. Probably the best since I've been studying it for the past few centuries. Why don't we start with the most well known myths? For instance, the one about us having to sleep in a coffin is untrue. I can, in fact, see myself in a mirror, I don't know about other vampires though. My sire never kept a mirror and it's not exactly something we look for. Crosses, or any other religious symbols, don't bother me. We do not turn into bats. A normal vampire is burned by the light of the sun, candlelight or light from an electrical source is usually okay though." He paused for a moment to let her process everything he had just spoken and to listen for if she had any comments on his words thus far.

Tashihara Miyamota She nodded and listened quietly as he spoke. It gave her time to listen to his voice and learn his tone and inflection. His expressions. This was important to her. But she also liked learning, and so found it fascinating. She had no ideas about any of the myths really. She had heard of coffins and seen them. She thought that it would make an interesting bed. It almost made her smile. She couldn't imagine not being able to see yourself in a mirror. That too seemed to be a foreign concept to her. Crosses and religious symbols? Hmmm... That was something else she knew nothing of. Religion didn't have a place in her life. She would ask him about this next. Turning into bats would be fun. It was a pity that he could not. But this made her giggle a bit. She found the mental image amusing. She took it all in and smiled, then spoke;
"Thank you for sharing those things with me. I didn't know about any of them. I've never had the chance to get to know a Vampire before. In any case, the thought of sleeping in a coffin is interesting. And being able to turn into bats would be fun. It's a pity you can't. Still, it's amusing. Holy symbols... Well, that's good I suppose. Religion plays no part in my life. I know nothing of it. Perhaps that could be your next lesson to me?"

He noticed her smile, she seemed to smile a lot, again. It wasn't something he minded though, it was actually kind of nice to see a friendly face for a change. He listened intently to her comments, a half-smile playing across his lips as she spoke. "Well, you don't have to talk to a vampire to learn these things Tashihara. You can find them in books, on the internet, videos...there are many resources available nowadays. Coffins are hard and cramped, they are not fun to sleep in. And, yes, I believe it would be interesting to turn into a bat. However, I cannot and neither could my Sire or any of those whom he had met." Zephyr found it amusing for whatever reason that he, a vampire, would be teaching her about religion. He did not refuse the request though. "Now then, as far as religion goes... Well, there are many different religions I could teach you about. Many myths stem from these religions too. There is Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, the list goes on and on. A re-occurring factor seems to be the idea of some higher power a 'god' if you will, sometimes several. In Ancient Egypt, Rome, and Greece there was a multitude of gods. The Romans' and Greeks' gods were very similar though. They had a god for just about everything, the sun, death, love. If you can name it they probably had a god for it."

Tashihara Miyamota She listened to him, fascinated by what he was telling her. Other than books, she had no idea what any of the other things were. Videos? Internet? What were those? And that was something that her and her creator had never spoke of, religion. They all sounded appealing. She wasn't sure if he would prefer to speak to her about these things or have her read books about it or use some of these other resources that he'd spoke of. When he was finished speaking, she spoke up again.
"Thank you for taking the time once again to tell me of these things. It's all very interesting to me. But I do not know what you mean by videos or internet. I've never heard of either of them. Perhaps sometime you could show me what you mean. In the mean time, if you'd rather have me read books on the different religions and other things about vampires, I can do that. I'm not sure if you would prefer that over telling me by word of mouth. In any case, perhaps now would be a good time for me to leave you for the day. I will go and consider what you've asked and return to you at this time tomorrow with my decision."

The confusion and curiosity in her eyes at his mention of videos and the internet was easy to spot, perhaps that would be his next lesson to her... He inclined his head to acknowledge her thanks. Hher next words served to confirm his earlier thoughts, the female before him had absolutely no idea what a video or the internet was. The male waited until she had finished speaking to talk, though a chuckle did slip out when she mentioned that she could read up on the topics they had discussed if he did not want to tell them to her. Of course, he hadn't really minded doing that. It was simply a new thing to him, teaching, that is. "I do not mind teaching you things Tashihara, I was only giving out other sources that you could use to learn things. Perhaps upon your return I will teach you about videos and the internet." Zephyr nodded again when Tashihara said she would be taking her leave now and that she would think over what he had asked then return at this time tomorrow with her answer. "Very well, I will be waiting for you here tomorrow Tashihara. Have a pleasant day." Once the graceful female was gone he returned to his chair and picked up the book once more. It wasn't like he had to read it, just that he was using it as a relaxation tool.

...αωαкєи...fα¢є яєαℓιту...ℓιfє ιѕи'т α fαιяу тαℓє... After several hours, Zephyr had retired to his bedroom. He stripped down to his boxers and then climbed into the bed, falling asleep shortly after his head hit the pillow.
Zephyr awoke early the next day and threw open his thick, dark curtains to emit the rays of sunlight which were so harmful to other vampires. At least there were some advantages to being the anomaly that he was. The feeling of warm sunlight against his naked flesh was something he found very pleasant. Once the drapes were open, he shut off the lights that had been set up around his bed then headed into the bathroom for a shower.
The male emerged no more than half an hour later, his lean body bare save for the towel wrapped around his waist. He walked over to chest in which he kept all of his clothes and withdrew a new pair of boxers, along with a shirt, pants and jacket similar to what he had been wearing the day before. Once he was dressed, Zephyr returned to his sitting room. Tahsihara should be arriving later with her answer to his inquiry, until then he would do some more research. If the girl did not show by the time he wshed he would have to go after her though.

Tashihara Miyamota She was delighted to hear that he didn't mind teaching her and smiled when he chuckled. She was looking forward to learning what the internet and videos were. She really never had heard of such things. When he said that he'd be waiting here for her tomorrow, she smiled and nodded.
"Alright Sir. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow then."
With that she quietly walked to the door and let herself out with a smile on her face. Once she had closed the door and walked away from his room a bit, she clapped her hands together excitedly and allowed herself a quiet squeal of happiness. She couldn't wait until tomorrow and hoped that she could find something to do to pass the time as quickly as possible. She already knew the answer was yes to his question of whether she wanted to belong to him or not. In any case, she walked quickly back to her room and found herself thinking all sorts of things about him on the way there. She wondered what kind of scents he would find appealing. Different ways that she could dress and do her hair that he may like. She wondered at one point if he would even care about those things at all. Her head was so full of thoughts that she barely realized that her feet had automatically brought her to her own door. Marveling at this, she opened the door, closed it behind her, locked it, then walked over to her bathroom. She summoned a maid to take her laundry and wash it, then stepped into the shower and began to wash herself. She didn't change into her water elemental form or any other form. She stayed in her human form. She took note of the blood coursing through her veins and her pulse. The beat of her heart and feel of her skin. For the first time she actually took stock of this form and found it useful and appealing to some degree. She'd never thought of things like that before now. It was refreshing and it made her happy for some reason.
After bathing herself she walked out gently patting her self dry with one of the towels in her bathroom. She made her way leisurely over to her sink and stood in front of the mirror. She put on a fragranced oil that smelt like cloves and orange spice. It wasn't over bearing because she had added just a drop or two to the amount of oil in the flask she was using. She couldn't stand overpowering smells, they made her sneeze. After she applied the oil to her skin, she felt the tingle that it caused and grinned at herself in the mirror. She then moved up on the counter and sat on her knees while she styled her hair a few different ways to see what she thought looked good. Depending on what he said the next day, she would base her next hair style off that. What ever she could do to please him and be attractive to him is what she cared about.
Letting it down for now, she padded out of the bathroom to her closet and put on a soft silk nightgown and then crawled onto her bed and played her flute until she was sleepy. She sat it down on her bed stand next to her, crawled under the covers and went to sleep.
She woke the next morning bright and early and was very happy that he had only wanted her to wait a day. Pacing herself, she got out of bed and made it neatly, then walked to her closet and picked out a kimono type top, a pair of white pants, and nice black heels. She then went to a large chest at the end of her bed and picked out a lovely hand bag that complimented the shirt. She then reached down underneath some scarfs of hers and got one of her jewelry boxes. She gently took out a pair of gold tiger earrings and two purple jade bracelets as well as a green jade necklace that she put on. After dressing herself, she does other personal hygiene things and styles her hair. It's almost shimadamage style, but with a more modern twist as some strands are left down. A few bobby pins with crystals on them are here and there to hold her hair in place.
About this time the maid knocks on her door and hands her her clothing that she had sent down the night before. She thanks the maid and smiles, then goes and hangs it in the closet with the other clothes. Humming to herself, she places a few things in her hand bag for a days worth of studying and learning and closes it putting it on her forearm as she looks around to make sure she has everything. Nodding to herself, she walks to the door and closes it behind her and begins to walk to Zephyrs room.
Once she's there she knocks firmly, but not to loud as she's not sure where he is in the large expanse of his room. She finds herself happy as she clutches her bag in her hands while she waits for him to answer the door.

...αωαкєи...fα¢є яєαℓιту...ℓιfє ιѕи'т α fαιяу тαℓє... Zephyr nodded to acknowledge her words. He watched her walk out the door and went back to sitting on the couch, frowning slightly. 'Have a pleasant day.' It wasn't like him to say such a thing, especially to someone he had just met. True, he had asked that she become his pet, but that was because he would need a blood donor, a food source, and did not feel like constantly having to find then subdue them. It became tiresome after a while. Well, that's what the vampire let himself believe anyway.
The next morning came and, after finishing with his shower and all of the other personal hygiene things that he did, Zephyr moved into his sitting room. He pulled several books off of the higher shelves in the room and set them on the table, spreading them out then flipping each open to a page that had been marked two days prior. Most of his books were about vampires, since that was the main thing he studied, but there were also a couple out that were about other races. When he had first began researching his race that was the only one he cared about, but now, several centuries later, he found all of this somewhat enjoyable and had expanded on his research subjects. The focus was still vampires though. Some days he would even sit there and compare similarities between his own race and others.
With his heightened senses, it was easy for Zephyr to hear the approaching footsteps which he would soon find out belonged to Tashihara. He did not move from his seat until a knock resounded throughout the room. It may not have been loud to normal ears, but to his own there was enough volume to it that he could have heard it anywhere within his rooms. Standing, he left the books as they were and walked over to answer the door. Tashihara was the only one he was expecting so that is who he assumed would be there when he opened the door. His assumption was proven correct when Tashihara was revealed to be on the other side of his door. Zephyr offered a half-smile to the female and invited her inside. "Welcome back Tashihara. Please, come in." He wouldn't pressure her about an answer just yet, she had promised him an answer and the vampire trusted that she would deliver one soon. In the mean time, he took a moment to let his eyes roam over her appearance. Today her outfit had an oriental theme to it, it suited her wonderfully.

Tashihara Miyamota She was smiling brightly when he came to the door and opened it. She was genuinely happy to see him again. And she felt... Excited was the right word. She didn't step in right away as she noticed that he was looking her over. She didn't feel any sort of bad vibes of disapproval coming from him, so she didn't feel awkward or anything like that. After he was done, she bowed her head once and spoke in her customary soft voice;
"Good morning Sir. May I come in?"

However, the fact that she was smiling at him as soon as he opened the door was a little shocking. He wasn't used to such things, but did his best to hide the surprise which he felt. His piercing green eyes softened slightly after seeing her smile though. Much as he refused to admit or acknowledge it, she stirred something within him. A feeling which had been dormant for several centuries, something that he had completely forgotten about. To him, it had become something strange and unidentifiable, yet...he did not mind the feeling at all. Though his own curiosity was nagging at him to find out what this strange emotion was.
At her words, Zephyr nodded. He did not see what was so good about it though, the morning seemed very much like any other to him. The male stepped back from the door enough to allow her entry, closing the door after she had stepped inside the room. "Of course you may, Tashihara. Good morning to you as well, you look beautiful by the way." 'Just being honest.' Zephyr told himself as soon as the words fell from his mouth. There was no special meaning behind his words, there couldn't be. "Did you sleep well?" The Vampire inquired in an attempt to make conversation.

Tashihara Miyamota She only smiled all the more when he replied to her simple morning greeting. She stepped inside his room and felt him close the door. She distracted her mind from the thought by looking around the room. The endless sea of black here in his sitting room captured her imagination for some reason and made her feel as if she were staring into the darkest night. Well, other than the light coming in through the window. But the color black, when you looked at it or focused on it, it was still black regardless. The light didn't change that. And she was reminded of his special conditions. That he couldn't go out in the night time. That this coloring in his living room was because he yearned so much to be like the others of his race and black helped comfort him somehow. She looked back to him and into his captivating green eyes as he asked her other questions and she answered.
"Thank you Sir. And thank you for the compliment on how I look. I slept very well. Yourself?"
She would wait until he responded to that before she addressed the more important matter at hand; Her becoming his food source. She preferred to think of it as her being his pet and that at some point he would come to care for her and maybe, dare she dream, even love her... But.... She would see what the future would bring and if he was capable of such things. She couldn't help but be polite around him. It seemed to come naturally. It made her blush to a degree. She was still innocent in many ways and there were things she felt around him that she'd never experienced before. She wondered if he felt the same way. She almost wanted to say that there was no way it was possible beings that he was centuries old. But she stopped that thought short in its tracks as she too was centuries old herself and still hadn't experienced everything. It left something to the imagination. Left something to be desired out of life. That was why she still smiled. That was why she was happy most of the time. Because life still held that spark for her.

  zєρнуя ѕєє тнιѕ؟ тнιѕ ιѕ яєαℓ ℓιfє...

...αωαкєи...fα¢є яєαℓιту...ℓιfє ιѕи'т α fαιяу тαℓє... Her smile was lovely, and he easily noticed when it grew because his eyes hardly ever left her features. She was somewhat of a mystery to him, and one that he would very much like to solve—though he didn't realize that at the moment. Tashihara was different from anyone whom he had met in the past which surprised the man greatly. First, she hadn't fled after his race and nature had been revealed. She hadn't instantly rejected the offer to become his pet after being told his reason behind wishing for one either. The female had even offered to supply him with blood whether she became his pet or not! Tashihara was truly one of a kind.
His gaze roamed the room silently as Tashihara's did. As his eyes scanned over the decor once more Zephyr felt that familiar longing again. It reminded him of the things he missed; the dark of night, cool breaths of air brushing against his skin, a garden bathed in the moon's gentle light and—no. He pushed the thoughts from his mind, fingernails digging into his palms as his hands curled into fists. The past was simply that: past. He couldn't go back, couldn't change it, so there was no point in dwelling on it. This was his life now, this is who he was.
His hands healed almost instantly as he left his hands lay open against his sides once more and the man focused his attention on Tashihara. He knew what it was now; that feeling which she had awakened within him, and also how dangerous it could be. So he would bury it again, he had to. It wasn't safe. In his experience, it hadn't been real either. It was a trick, a way to get something from another without having to give anything in return.
He waited only a moment after asking his question for her to response and smiled lightly. "I am merely stating the truth, I'm sure anyone else would tell you the same. I slept well enough." Zeph replied with a shrug, he hardly ever had dreams anymore and none had disturbed him in the middle of his rest either. "Would you like to sit down?" He asked her, gesturing towards the chairs which they had used the day before.
