Background: Ulric was Medusa's childhood rival till the time when both of them were little kids. Ulric was raise by wolves because of his wolf like traits and the ability to turn into one. He shortly join the Witch group as a security guard/ Punisher. He punishes and tortures any Witches who betrays Mabaa or the group.
Ulric serves Mabaa loyally and never questions her orders, in his free time he enjoys harassing other Witches and cause trouble. Mabaa ordered him when Free stole her left eye ball to kill him, he accepts the mission and tries to stop Free but he realizes since Free is immortal and possesses the left eye of Mabaa he was indeed powerful.
He fought Free a long time until when Free reveals his Werewolf state and bites Ulric. Because they both share a similar wolf blood, Free cursed Ulric's wolf form and made him too weak to fight. However he was able to flee from battle because of his wounds.
Ulric's ability to morph into a wolf became unstable and made him into a werewolf, he couldn't control the instincts of the werewolf and started slaughtering many witches but Medusa was able to stop him. Mabaa uses his unique ability to lure Free into a trap and it worked. Ulric's behavior hasn't change except his appetite for more red meat.
Ulric practices his magic and found out that his pyrokinesis ability is actually more powerful than other elements. He tested his abilities by killing meisters and other victims with his power of fire. But he made a mistake by setting off a huge fire in London known as the infamous Great Fire of London, humans don't know what cause it but it attracted the Meister's attention. Mabaa punished him by burning two of his arms to teach him not to go crazy again.
A few hundred years past Ulric remains low ever since the incident, he hunts down Witches who betrays the group. During his travel to New York he spotted a Meister Teacher named Sid Barett and killed him leaving his head impaled by the Statue of Liberty. Ulric had a tough time beating him but since Sid didn't have a weapon he was finally able to kill him in his werewolf form. He later learns how to maintain control between his wolf form and the werewolf form.
After the Asura battle, Ulric became enraged by discovering that Free escaped and that Medusa was killed in battle by Soul and Maka. He swore to kill both of them for getting to her first after knowing her betrayal. He also tries to find Eruka and the Mizune sisters for working with Medusa.
