Pre-Service: Henry was born into a military-veteran family that lived in Buffalo, New York. His grandfather, George Blackburn, served in the European Theater during World War II, while his father, Micheal Blackburn, served during the Vietnam War. Henry's father taught him the ins and outs of first aid and even gave him some pointers on what to do in a combat situation. Henry also opted to join the Boy Scouts so that he could further develop his first aid skills and learn some leadership along the way. Through the seven years of scouting, Henry achieved the rank of Eagle. A year afterwards, the young boy decided that his best option in a career was to join the military. His father willingly agreed and signed the papers, officially allowing the now 17-year-old Henry to join the U.S. Army.
Military Service: Whenever it came to first aid skills in training, Henry clocked out at the top. He was also at the top in shooting skills, making him a double-edged sword. Instructors noticed this skill-set, and signed him off as a Combat Medic/Designated Marksman Hybrid. Henry liked the idea of being a medic/sniper hybrid, and did his job to the best of his abilities.
