Family History: Aoi's family was known for there use of sound to preform genjutsu, and proved themselves usefully in battles and ambushes. Everyone in Aoi's family learned this except his father who was skilled at kenjutsu and not genjutsu.

History: When Aoi was 5 his mother was very ill and his father dedicated most his time to his wife instead of Aoi. After about 3 years his mother's illness wasn't cured but she was able to do things on her own and take care of her child, by that time Aoi had managed to teach himself many things and make his own decisions. He was influnced by a Chuunin ninja who took him in as a brother and taught him everything he knew. Aoi's "brother's" goal was to become hokage, and Aoi's dream was to surpass this Chuunin ninja, so his dream then became to surpass the hokage, which would soon be his "brother".
