Well, its spring, and my schools supposed to be doing a musical at some point. Im wondering what everyones favorite musical is, or if they were going to be in a musical which one they would want it to be, which part, and why? Id like to do Grease and be Rizzo, or do Company and be Joanne. So. Discuss.

I love Phantom of the Opera and I've wanted to see in on Broadway for about 4 years now. I was so happy when the movie came out so I could go see it heart

I like the John Travolta version of Grease though I kinda want to see that on Broadway. I wanted to see Urine Town and Hair spray but I don't think those are on Broadway anymore. I don't play that close attention to whats showing and what isn't anymore.

Well, it was just broadway shows in general, not neccesarily ones currently showing...

Over the summer I went over to my friend Wills house and we watched Phantom of the Opera and made fun of it...Lol. Im sorry. It wasnt a bad movie, it was just more fun to make fun of it than actually pay attention to what was going on. whee

Seeing as I'm a musical theatre major, I'm a pretty big fan of Broadway. Probably the role I want to have the most is Mark in RENT. That's easily my favorite show.

Right now,
I'm obsessing over RENT
it's My favorite movie currently

I'd love to see Little Shop Of Horrors
performed live though
I only saw the play once

Phantom of the Opera is always good

My school is doing Grease next year

I am so annoyed right now. Auditions for the spring musical are tomorrow, and I still have a sore throat, and my ear is still full of fluid so I can't like hear myself when I talk, and there's this constant ringing thats driving me insane. I'm gonna try and sing anyway even though it will probably suck or Ill start coughing and won't be able to finish. I'm probably going to end up singing The Ladies Who Lunch from Company, but right now its between that and And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going from Dream Girls. I'm not sure which I'd rather sing for auditions. And I still have to pick something to read...H'oi. I am so mad at Rev right now....

Being sick for auditions stinks. That happened to me once, but my congestion cleared up just in time to sing, and my semi-lost voice reappeared.

I would love to go sick Wicked, Les Mis, Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. I'm probably going to get to see a couple of those soon.

One of my favorite characters to be would probably be Cosette or Eponine in Les Mis.

How did auditions go?

Auditions went fine, if only Reverend Alex's father hadn't had a stroke or heartattack or whatever everything would have been lovely. Of course, he's apparently an only child and the only person capable of driving his mother to the hospital to see his father. And yes, Im still angry and I dont care if someone in his family is ill. Of course he was pretty surprised that I still showed up for the play after my Grandmother died the same night we opened, but really Im sorry but drama club grew so much and all we've gotten is let downs since he showed up. I mean we actually have boys, we used to have two or three, now we've got eight to ten, we can do an actual show, we have enough people, but no we keep getting cancelled and put off because they wont let anyone with time take care of drama. Why they cant just give us a teacher advisor, or put a few on a rotating schedule and let us run it ourselves I dont know. But it angers me.

I love musicals. The closest thing to being somewhat of a lead role in a school musical was the plant in Little Shop. I didn't even get to use my own voice, they paid hundreds to get a voice distorter (idiots). Lol, I haven't been to a school audition since just cause some sort of drama always happens with the directors and me. I'm thinking of trying out this year since it's my last year, but I'm not sure.

My favorite musical? Hmm, Phantom. =3 (I cried like a baby at the end of the movie.) ninja

Arg, that's a bummer.

Has it improved any since?

We're doing Virgils Wedding, in March, we're starting now but the show isn't until the spring. How gay is that? And Virgil's Wedding? Who's ever heard of it? And I get to be the bitchy wedding planner. I'm the only mean character, and all the weird old hillbilly men hit on me the entire time. Its so weird. And we have like one practise a week, if that. Its all so dumb.
