Personality ::

Connor is a romantic at heart, but not the sort that is obsessed with non-platonic love. No, he is simply the type that lives in his own little world, believing that everything is good, pure, and wonderful. Many would say that this is a rather naive way to view the world but, judging from the way that he talks, it's more like a delusion than anything. Due to his views of the world, Connor trusts very easily, almost always willing to give everything the benefit of the doubt. He is very dedicated to giving others second chances or trusting them as soon as he meets them, wanting to believe that they have the best of intentions at heart.

Typically Connor does not seek out others to interact with, feeling more comfortable in solitude than he does in a group of people. When in public he tends to feel less like himself, tends to feel anxious and stressed, thus prefers the quiet seclusion of the studies in his home. However the obvious exception are those that manage to grow close to him despite his anti-social nature. Meeting people, however, is an entirely different story and happens rarely, leaving him with few or no friends our acquaintances outside of the hired help that works in his family's mansion.

While Connor is a tad anti-social, he does, deep down, like to help and be kind to others. He will never hesitate to give money or items to people without thought of personal gain if he feels that they need or deserve it. If someone is hungry he will buy them food or if they are cold he will give them his jacket without a second thought. Obviously many would probably love to take advantage of this generosity but anyone that seems only interested in his money or resources Connor seems to shy away from. Typically if anyone actually asks for assistance the Meowth is more than a little reluctant to offer it as, deep down, he suspects he is being used unless he actually knows the person well. This can make him a little hesitant to interact with others and feel like he is fairly worthless unless money is involved.

Connor doesn't really believe that he's good for anything other than his money, really, and it shows in the way he behaves around others. When he receives a compliment he typically doesn't believe it, even if he trusts the source of said compliment. He also never volunteers to assist with his skills as he doesn't believe that he is good enough at anything to be any good to anyone. This can be incredibly frustrating to those close to him that know that he has skills, but nothing they say tends to help him feel less awkward or self-conscious.

Connor tends to avoid subjects about his past or about him as a person, always turning the conversation around to talk about the person asking the questions instead. He's far more comfortable skirting the truth or not revealing anything about himself through half truths than actually opening up to anyone. This can cost him friends when they find out he won't talk to them or has been deceiving them about something which also causes a lot of his reclusive tendencies. Connor tends to cling to subjects that don't allow others to question his morals or motives and, when pressed for his views or how he feels, he tends to get nervous and attempt to divert the conversation. When pressured into such topics he tends to get rather upset and go quiet, that or outright lie and simply say what he thinks others want him to say.
