Hello there! Come in, come in. Please do make yourselves comfortable. Welcome to my humble abode, I hope you do like it here because you will be here for a while! Not against your own free will or anything like that! Please do not fret. You are simply here because you want to be. Don't worry this isn't some ploy to sell you something! I swear. Cross my heart. However I will be giving you something. A key. With this key you are to open any door you wish. However there is a catch my dear, you can only open a single door each day so choose wisely. With this I take my leave. Bye for now. (Okay, really weird and weirdly written intro to make things more interesting that sort of um...backfired. Hello there! I am starting my 365 day writing challenge today! *sitcom clapping background effect* After putting it off for so long. So yes. I usually write short drabbles that may continue. I will not be trying the poetry challenge because, I don't know how to write poetry! So yes. Anyway drabblebabble over! *throws smoke bomb smoke screen ball thing*))

Week I, Day 1: 001. New Beginnings In the Kingdom of the Red Heart, there lived a beautiful queen, glorious and powerful, that brought justice to every corner of the large empire. Everyone loved her and she loved everyone all the same. A lady with masterful skills in arts and language, Lady Vivaldi, Queen of the Kingdom of the Red Heart.
“What a bunch of lies”, a soft spoken white hare mumbled, utterly annoyed at the first line of the large tome it was flipping through. “Vivaldi has only one masterful skill, and that’s completely pulling the wool over the eyes of the council! So she won’t be kicked off her throne!”
“Come now, she may be a very despicable woman but that skill is what made her what she is today. A queen. Rather than what we are, just plain and simple hare working to survive.” An older hare chipped in.
“That is if the wolves won’t devour us first! They have been swarming throughout the trade routes. Not just anyone’s, ours. We have already asked for assistance from the closest kingdom to this town and that would be the Kingdom of the Red Heart! We have asked time and time again for several escorts but no. She simply will not comply!”
“Please. Stop going on about all of. This! We all have realized we’re doomed either way. Trying to figure out a good fix for this isn’t easy as you know. We just have to rely on the queen, as troublesome as she can be. And we have no idea what Petra is up to now a days.”
“Petra? Wasn’t she the old blacksmith’s daughter? What can she do?”
“My, you are very behind the times, dear boy. She is Vivaldi’s right hand girl! She wanted to do bigger and better things and now she is. Before she took care of the issues involving the kingdom. It took some time but she still managed to make it happen.”
“Great! Contact her lickity split!”
“Clean the cotton out of your ears! She’s no where to be found at the moment. However we know she isn’t dead, yet. Vivaldi has yet to announce she has another right hand man. We still have a chance.”
--
The empty halls of the castle echoed every time she walked down them. As creepy as it was, it cleared her thoughts of many things: paperwork, meetings, Vivaldi, press conferences, planning luncheons, Vivaldi, setting up public appearances, Vivaldi. Petra grew tired of all the grueling work that piled on her desk every morning at approximately 7:15 a.m. She could no longer sleep in, have a decent breakfast that isn’t just plain toast with jam, or enjoy mornings reading a good book. Nope, her mornings all revolved around scheduling the lady’s appointments, signing papers and making sure all is right in the kingdom.
She continued walking down the endless hall until she reached her office. Pulling out the key, the girl put the armful of binders, scrolls and papers on the floor and unlocked the door.
To the beginning of a new day full off the usual schedule. Sighing, she picked up all the items off the ground and proceeded in her office hoping something exciting will happen today. Petra was starting to believe she should give up in saying that. Nothing will ever happen in this hum drum life of hers.
