As you guys may have noticed, Windy and Kat have been absent from the guild. For quite some time. If you're wondering why - well, here's a message from each of them.

So uh. Hurrs the deal.
Kayla and I, out of seemingly no where got jobs. Full time jobs that require us to be there for forty+ hours a week. Neither of us have the luxury of a set schedule as we both work in the service industry. We are working as hard as we can to keep ourselves on our feet, and we're doing so in order to try and build some kind of a future for ourselves.
During the winter season there were weeks where a weekend, time to breath, and a full night's sleep were not options for me. I would work a six day week, only to be asked to pull another 12 hour shift near the end of it, so I could stay the night, and then proceed to cover some one else's shift in the morning. Other times, I would work eight days straight, with most of those shifts exceeding 10 hours. As the season ended, I moved into housekeeping at a different hotel so I could make money for the off season. My life consists of work, chores, more work, some sleep, and a few hours of something that resembles a social life every now and again. Currently, I have a mandatory two weeks off thanks to the cheap corporation I work for. During these two weeks, I will do my best to get my s**t together in the guild, and in several other things that are mine to manage. However, I make no promises that anything I do will actually help things out. After all, I have a limited amount of time to try and breath life into this thing; and I also have other things in my life, which I've always put before Gaia and the Guild. But I will do my best. ♥ You guys deserve that, and more, from me.
I love and miss you guys dearly. I also love and miss this guild.. I know this fact doesn't show at all, because I'm rarely here. But. . . I'm rarely ever here because I've got to focus on what I'm doing for myself. I've got to focus on getting my s**t together, paying my bills, and growing as a person. As of late, I haven't really been able to work on my personal projects. Which is a depressing fact. But if I've got to put off writing my novels and my stories so I can get my act together, than that's what's got to be done. And because the guild is some what of a pet project of mine, it suffers as much, if not more than my other works.
I know all of this seems like a lame excuse, but it's the truth of it. I suppose the whole point of this little note is to ask you guys to be patient with Kayla and I, and to understand that we're doing our best to get our lives in order. I personally, am happy with the way things seem to be going in my life; and it's because of this I've got to keep the momentum going and I've got to focus on all things me. I understand if you feel fed up with the lack of life around here, and would rather leave it. I understand if you're annoyed and angry with me and if this is the case, I ask you to send me a pm saying so. All I really want is for you guys to understand why we've been so inactive.

I feel as though everyone deserves at least an explanation of what’s going on. The reason I, personally haven’t been active in the guild lately is because I’ve been hellishly busy. I’m not going to down play it. I work eight hours over nights, and I sleep during the days. My boyfriend works two jobs. I’m working anywhere from 5 to 8 days in a row. On days that I’m working and my boyfriend works both jobs, I see him for about 4o minutes in between getting off his second job and dropping me off to mine. So as you can imagine the days off I do have, are spent with him and catching up on chores. And by catching up, I mean doing all the laundry since the last time I did it, doing all the dishes, and general cleaning of the house. It piles up in those 5-8 days and because my boyfriend works so much, he has no time for it.
Add in plans to move 1ooo miles away, and attempting to get my parents and sister ready for that, and you’ve got one chaotic, busy mess. On the few weekends both my boyfriend and I get off, I go to my parents’ house and try to help them get their s**t together to move. I have little to no time to be spending writing up posts, making role plays, or even creating characters in a reasonable amount of time. I’ve been working on my latest for over a month, and that’s just the profile. I’m not lazy, it isn’t that I don’t want to write, it isn’t that I don’t miss you guys and everything. I do. I miss writing so badly. But at this point in my life I have no time for it. I instead need to focus on me, mine and my boyfriend’s relationship, my family, my pets, my job, and moving.
I apologize if my absence upsets you guys and I realize how aggravating and frustrating it is. But at this point I really need to focus on my life. I’m at a point where I don’t have the luxury to spend hours writing—no matter how badly I wish I did. I miss writing and I miss you guys dearly. I miss having free time to relax. But right now I need to put these things aside and just focus on getting myself to a better place. I’m happy with my life and I love my job, but don’t let those things make you guys feel as though I don’t think about you, the guild, or role playing. I do. I think about you guys and writing all the time. Please be patient, and I will try my hardest to be more active. I just need the understanding and patience from you guys. ♥
