So, my oldest sister (I'm the oldest of all my siblings, but I have four sister and this one's the oldest...I also have a brother...can you tell my family's Catholic? Lol) is pregnant with her second child, and I guess they got some sort of bad news at her last visit to the doctor. There's some sort of complication where she's at risk for going into labour prematurely (she's due in July) and there's a chance the baby will be born blind. My sister's been put on bedrest until further notice. That's really all I know right now.
I'm trying to figure out if I can swing it financially to take some time off to go stay with her and help out her and her husband with stuff like housework and looking after their young son. I know our mother will do what she can (she lives in the same city as my sister, whereas I live in a different country), but I know that our mother absolutely drives my brother-in-law crazy, plus she's busy with helping our brother get ready to start university and stuff, and our other sisters are currently scattered all over the world, so....yeah, I really hope that I'll be able to go and help out her and her husband.
Any prayers and good wishes you can muster up for my sister, her unborn child, and the rest of our family would be very much appreciated. smile

Thank you very much.
Mini-update: It's looking like I will be able to go and help my sister. I'm trying to get tickets to leave sometime in the coming week. So, that's good.

Thank you all very much. It means a lot to me.
And yes, it is VERY exciting. They're not going to find out the sex of the baby until it's born, too, so at least for me, that makes it extra exciting. I like shopping for gender-neutral clothes and toys.
I just need to keep remembering that I still need to buy a ticket, and that it doesn't matter what awesome stuff I get for the baby if I can't afford a ticket to be able to deliver it all in person.
