It took me far too long to get around to posting in this thread...

Anyway my primary plan is for a Charr Guardian. I already tried it in the beta and fell in love with both the race and class. My first pick was an instant winner...go figure huh? Though I think on the first day of the release I'll probably end up fiddling with his appearance for over an hour. I just didn't like how he turned out in my first try. White Tiger seemed too simple, and now I've concluded I don't like the stripes...and that I can probably do something cooler/more unique if I take my time.

Plus I'd like his fur pattern/colour to go better with my standard armor colouration. Red and Black. The reason for it is because...well that's actually what I wear. Most of my outfits, up to included coat, hat, and bicycle helmet follow that colouration. xp

I chose Guardian admittedly for two reasons. One is that I'm normally a tank, and a natural Meat Shield. I know that such things do not exist in GW2, but old habits die hard, thus I navigate toward the more heavily armoured classes.

The other reason is due to the semblance between Guardians and Paladins. Due to some part of my nature, I tend to always choose to the closest existing class to a Paladin in any game. This is due partially because I love the idea of a shinning knight, and also because Paladin's frequently deal the largest amount of damage to the undead, and have the largest pool of skills meant for obliterating them. If that wasn't clear enough...I have an irrational fear/hatred of all things undead. For this same reason I am not even going to TOUCH the Necromancer Profession.

~shudders.~ I think if I did I would feel forever dirtied. >.>

That aside, I'm also planning to make/try out a Sylvari Engineer as soon as humanly possible. The idea of plant and machine combo sounds delightfully contradictory to me. Plus I like the actual logic behind the decision. I picked it because it reminded me of Kileen, a Sylvari Necormancer in one of the GW2 books. In the book she explained that she choose the path of the Necromancer because her people still knew so very little about death, and thus she was very curious. So I followed that same path of logic to Sylvari Engineer. After all, machines would be so very different to someone who is a plant wouldn't it?
