Riley would not be doing a training session such as performing arts unless she was sure it would only be her, and her instructor. She bowed low to Professor Zhang, as she entered the room - finally remembering to change from her shoes to the provided slippers. Otherwise, Riley had taken one of the provided simple costumes, a long and flowing robe that not only covered all of her body, but went far beyond it with the sleeves. It was a shimmering red in color, with elegant gold lining and design, but otherwise it was fairly simple, and obviously meant for beginners. It would be enough for her, until Invictus could provide her with something of her own to wear.

There was a box filled with props, and Riley was instructed to pick from it. She looked through her choices, and found the paper fan the only item befitting her. She took it in her hand, and slowly unfolded it, as her eyes unfocused. She was searching for fan dances, and luckily, such information was readily available. Once her eyes focused again, she was prepared to try and emulate what she'd found.

The music that played for Riley's dance was truly beautiful. She enjoyed how peaceful it was, and she fluttered her fan as she swayed gently to the music. Unfortunately, she was trying to do things that she'd seen in her mind, and that dance simply wasn't the kind that looked as good when a mindflayer tried it. It was a delicate dance, meant for a lithe, small young lady - and Riley looked quite rough when she moved to it. She was sure she heard giggling when she was done, and she snapped the fan closed sharply, flinging it directly into the box and giving the professor a respectful bow before walking out. One of her tentacles may have risen for a moment in the direction of the women, but they would likely not understand the gesture she was trying to convey.
