It was owning my own store. A gaming store. Sell trading cards, tabletop gaming stuff, have a lil room or two for card tournaments or other gaming gatherings. A post in the qa thread reminded me and I died inside. Maybe when I get caught up and stuff on bills, I can go take a business course or something...

I like to think that, if I've made one woman die inside, even a little, it's been a successful day.
Being one-hundred percent serious, though: why do you want to run a game/card shop?

Here's why...
Since I was a teenager (17) I loved collecting game cards. Star wars, digimonng, Pokemon, magic, so on so forth. There was this really cool card shop I went to. It was small but it had comic books, cards, d&d stuff, dice, action figures, and some Retro video games. I've always loved going into those such shops. Then there was one that had rooms for gaming. And then there was another that nit only sold and traded tabletop gaming books, but also sold fantasy statues and even a couple of custom fantasy weapons.
In the town I live in... one does not exist. Small ones exist in other towns. I want to create a gamers Paradise. There are larpers in town, not to mention many card players, d&ders, and other such people. Young and old alike. I think it would be nice to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for people to shop and game.
Yes my head is in the clouds with this, but that's how businesses get started.
PS ******** this phone... misspells are not always fixable cuz I can't select a ******** word...

I hate to seem like a naysayer, but turning your hobby into a business isn't usually the best idea. It's a good way to suck the fun out of something you'd otherwise love. :/

Exxodeuce I hate to seem like a naysayer, but turning your hobby into a business isn't usually the best idea. It's a good way to suck the fun out of something you'd otherwise love. :/ I am different than other people. Not to mention I have several hobbies that feel like jobs more than hobbies but I love them anyway. I understand it wont always be fun or easy, but its one of the few things im passionate about.

In that case, do it loud and do it proud. The world needs more devoted places for gaming. 3nodding
