A way with words? He'd never thought of himself as a particularly word-oriented person. A warrior, an aspiring hero (at least when he was younger), but he'd never thought of himself as a wordsmith, per say. It just wasn't a way he would have described himself. Maybe the reading he'd been doing since his daughters were "born" had changed that. Maybe losing the love of his life, the family he'd always dreamed he would have, had changed that. He didn't even know anymore, and it was a disheartening thought that he might even known himself anymore.

He pushed that to the back of his mind. He wasn't so certain if he should even be asking this, anyway--he'd gotten the impression in the past that Chandra was not proud of being a goddess, or particularly interested in the vestments of it. Maybe that wasn't true, maybe it was, but he was certain that this might not be the right thing to ask. But, nonetheless, he was curious, and he just wanted to ask this question. "What's it like to be a moon goddess?" he asked. "I mean, if that's not too personal a question." He was absolutely positive that it was, but he'd been wondering about it for a while, and he wasn't certain he'd get a better chance to ask.

Chandra worried for a moment that she'd said something wrong, with how long it seemed to take Yoake to ask her his question. When he finally did ask she had to laugh. "Very boring actually." she said with a smile. "The moon takes care of itself for the most part and it doesn't really give you any special powers. Unlike some gods that have much broader spectrum of abilities, like," she paused and considered a good example. "Well my great grandmother and uncle for one, being artistically inclined celestials they have the ability to inspire others in their field of domain. It also makes them very talented, you put a musical instrument near Kali and she can play it with little to no effort. Uncle Oberon is far lazier though, while he could probably pen great works of theatrical and literary art, he spends his time using is ability to cheat at jumbles and crossword puzzles." she said with a smile.

She flicked the end of her tail absently then looked up. The sun was gone and the moon was a sliver in the sky. "I can also do this one thing though...it usually works best on full moons, but there's enough tonight for it to still work." she moved a bit away then spread her wings and took off into the sky circling lazily until she made what she thought was a reasonable height. She positioned herself then kept herself hovering with strong downward strokes of her wings, and closed her eyes tuning into that part of her mind that heard the songs of the moon. When she opened them again they were no longer red but bright and silvery, her golden wings and markings had taken on a silver cast to them and she glowed faintly.

Yoake was glad he had not offended his new friend. He didn't seem to be making very many new ones these days, and the few old friends he had were now busy with their own lives these days. Offending a new friend would have been heartbreaking.

He'd never thought of divinity like that before. It made him wonder about his own housemates--was that why Ranger was always hiking or flying around the wilderness? Or was that pure pleasure for him? Was Sproutling's endless droning about health conscious or unconscious? He put those thoughts aside for another time. "I'm not sure if I've ever heard of any book written by a god. What's he written?" It was probably some classic or another, something that would end up on his reading list eventually. He was distracted from the thought, however, by Chandra's rising into flight. He'd long admired fliers and maybe, as a kit, even envied them a tiny bit, but her flight was...

Wow.

It wasn't just the glow, it was the way she flew. It was as if she flew different from other noodles. Even different from other gods, as far as he could tell. Yoake looked up in awe and tried to remind himself that this being was his friend. He would only embarrass her if he kept staring, and yet...he couldn't take his eyes off of her. She was beautiful, absolutely so.

Chandra started to feel a little subconscious about hovering here and glowing so she drew her wings back to herself and began to sink back towards the ground. She landed lightly just a few feet away from Yoake and then circled back to him, the glow starting to fade and her eyes and markings returning to normal. "Silly really." she said blinking away the last of the silver. "It's something I got from my father who's a light god. He can make it last much longer and doesn't need a direct light source most of the time." she said smoothing a warmer on her leg.

She was glad for a change of topic and laughed. "Uncle Oberon has written absolutely nothing. I told you he's lazy. He doesn't write. Just reads a lot and plays his word games." she said with a smile.
