Post pictures of your favorite livestock pet or animal! Pecan in the two pictures above! She is my baby! I have had her since she was born. Even assisted in the kidding process. Her siblings were stillborn, and she was the only live one in the triplets My boys Ernie and Ricky. Ernie is the big Saanen/Nubian mix, and Ricky is the Boer/mini breed mix. I think Ricky is Boer Pygmy, but with more boer size. He is the daddy of Pecan, and Pecan's momma is a Boer cross that is pure white. Mimzy, 50% registered Boer doe, and Bruno, Boer wether. Best buddies and past show goats. Mimzy is brown and Bruno is the traditional boer. Gypsy, my LaMancha with a roman nose. I think she is part nubian. Her daughter would then be Laboenubygmy.(LaMancha/Boer/Nubian/Pygmy) rofl That is just a sample of my goats. I have 17 at the moment. mrgreen

I got new rabbits blaugh A lady had a couple for 4-H and they "got away" from her and basically bread like rabbits and took over her yard, so I got 11 new rabbits 4FRE mrgreen My new does: this one looks like a cinnamon arrow Babies (the caramel-colored ones are new) to be able to accommodate my new rabbits, I switched from pellets to a grain mix (you can see it in the last pic), which will not only be healthier for them, but it is WAY cheaper, all-natural, and all ingredients are from within my state not to mention, it will make them taste a bit sweeter biggrin

No cut grass, no dinner. But goats prefer browse to grass anyways. My wethers exist to be buck buddies and to carry my stuff for me.

My goat has a long chain on an A-frame that I move around the yard and every day when I move it he runs out to the very end of the chain, gets down on his front knees and stretches his neck out as far as he can reach and eats that grass first rofl If I don't move him enough I get rings in my yard xd My goat gets fed goat food too, especially as his time draws closer because it will help him gain a bit of weight, but more importantly, it will make his meat sweeter and more flavorful 3nodding

Be careful with them. oh, always, it can be very dangerous. I am always careful around it, and I've taught my daughter to not even go near the chain without an adult around. The goat is pretty used to it by now though, and used to being around all of us, so we have effectively avoided any problems so far
