Following the noise from the kitchen, Yochi made her way flawlessly around, concentrating on her steps to keep from being rude to her host. Once she reached the kitchen she greeted Yuuka with a small wave and a small," Good morning."
She smelled the fresh tea.

Yuuka peaked at Yochi out of the corner of her eye, remaining silent for a moment, before returning to her task. "...You're awake. Good. The tea should be ready."
She took two cups from the cupboard and set them on a small table and chairs set in the middle of the kitchen. "Please, sit down. You might have the resilience of a Youkai, but I'm sure your wounds are far from fully healed." Yuuka returned with the tea kettle and poured a portion of its contents into both glasses. The tea carried the aroma of a mix of flowers, likely ones taken straight from her garden. "There's been no word from our mutual friend." She began after pulling out a chair and sitting down, placing the tea kettle on the table. "I don't suppose you have any idea what Ibara might be planning?"

"Ibara has not shown up?" Yochi said rubbing at her eyes,"Thats weird wonder what she is up to."
"...........UHm, she said something about Keine being up when she ran off, but, you would think she would be back by now given its morning already..?"

"I see..." Yuuka sipped her tea, then held the warm cup in her hands. "So, that only leaves one question: What should I do with you?" Without her glasses, Yochi was still a hinderence, and Yuuka knew of no way to replace them. She pondered the idea of forcing the Mole to leave, but knew such action would undoubtedly upset Ibara. And with such a threat looming over the Oni's head, that was the last thing Yuuka wanted.
"I suppose you can stay, at least until Ibara comes to reclaim you. As long as you don't prove to be too much of a nuisance, that is... "

"With me?" Yochi tilted her head," I can head home, yeah, thanks for the credit. I just need to wait for night fall,-"
"..Wait reclaim me? Nuisance?" Yochi grumbled," I am not some sort of pet, much less some useless burden. Just because you happened to meet us two when Ibara is stronger than me, doesn't mean I am weak or reliant on her."

"Relax, it's nothing to be ashamed of~" Yuuka said with a smile, intentionally provoking her guest a little. "You'd make a fine pet, better than a dog or cat."
She set her tea cup down, her face turning serious. "I believe Ibara has the potential to become stronger than either of us. That's what makes her so dangerous, to herself and others. You said it yourself, that you believed she might be able to bring an end to Gensokyo. I only hope her plan with Keine works, whatever it may be, for if she gets into a fight with that other Oni, it may very well be enough to push her over the edge, to the point of no return."

Yochi seemed to grumble at Yuuka's comment, but she figured it was mild teasing and decided to take it. "Yeah,yeah, if that's your idea of a complement." She sat down, drinking some tea," ...this is good, by the way."
"Mh?" the mole looked up as she recalled having said that when she had met Yuuka or something like that anyway. "Uhm, yeah, I do wonder what she plans, cuse if does not work it may very well be the whole Underground thing all over again... But I am sure she can win and be okay!....she has always been able to come back...one way or the other..."

Yochi stuck around Yuuka's that day, diligently await for Ibara's return. When dusk fells and Ibara had not returned, Yochi took her poncho and thanking Yuuka head to the door.
"We must have faith on Ibara, she is smart, and i am sure her plan will work, whichever it may be," The mole said as she opened door,"I suppose I will be seeing you by her if the tome comes?"
With those open and ambigious words, the mole youkai gave a fanged grinned and waved goodbye.
Next time they would see each other, these unlikely allies, would most likely be in a tense situation under the full moon and on empty ground. For now all they could do was wait and get ready.~~~End~~~
