Alright, so, It's been a super long time since I've been on Gaia. I need a few RP's to get me back into the swing of things, at the very least. I still consider myself to be semi-literate, and post at least a paragraph per post/message. I'm open to most things, but prefer fantasy and supernatural stuff. We can work things out as far as a story, but there's one I've been wanting to do for a long time. I'll outline it in a minute. Just a warning though, I might forget to check Gaia as often as I should, and there are some days I just won't feel like replying. I won't just drop you though. If I quit, I'll make sure you know, and I prefer that you do the same. I'll also let you know of any absences longer than a few days. Anyway, we can talk in messages. Sorry for the text block. Next post is the idea I talked about previously.

The idea is this:
In this world, a select few people are born with the ability to control one of the four basic elements of nature. Generally, these people have personality traits characteristic of their element. Fire elementals tend to anger quickly and change emotion fast, but can be warm and compassionate as often as they are moody. Water elementals tend to be a mite emotional as well, but are more stable. Occasionally they become cold and reserved though. Earth elementals are down to earth and at one with nature. They tend to be peaceful, but are a force to be reckoned with when angered. Air elementals are typically light and happy people. Their anger could easily blow away any normal person though.
On occasion, an especially dangerous case crops up, where one of these elementals cannot control their powers. A council typically handle these cases, sending them to a school, where older elementals teach the students. Usually classes are held in groups, but some extreme cases require one-on-one attention. One of these cases has recently been found.
A young Fire elemental has become particularly dangerous. Living on his own, he has a somewhat trouble past, and an even more dangerous future. After burning down a large forest during one of his meltdowns, the council took notice of him. He was captured, and assigned to a mentor to be taught to control both his powers and hopefully his emotions.
I will be playing the Fire elemental. Any of the four elements could be used for the mentor. I'm okay if you want to make it a romance thing, or keep the characters' relationship with either strictly business, though they should grow more familiar with each other over time. I certainly wouldn't expect them to become friends at once, especially if the mentor is a Water elemental.
