The Lotus Forest is a rather interesting place. There are talking plants here that, when fed an item they request, will provide you with a different, usually better item, along with fully healing your character or even restoring their magic power! Along with that, there are bell flowers that, when struck with a Thunder spell, will give to you new items along with either fully healing your character or restoring their magic power.
One of the talking plants near the beginning requests that you feed it a Potion. As a reward for fulfilling its request, it will increase the size of your character to the point your character is just as large as the forest itself. From this point, you are able to whack the tree in the center of the forest with your weapon to turn it. Of course, the nut to shrink your character rests on this tree, so make sure to grab it before whacking the tree.
There are numerous mushrooms, and even a couple of lilypads, that allow your characters to reach higher places in the forest that they couldn't normally reach. Finally, there are various exits from the Lotus Forest that lead you into all kinds of areas. There are a few exits into the Queen's Court. Three exits take you into the Bizarre Room. One exit takes you into the regular, right side up part of the room, and the other two exits take you into either side of the Bizarre Room. This means that the room will appear to be tilted on its side when you enter. The final exit from the Lotus Forest takes you into the Tea Party Garden.
