Although I tend to deviate from Japanese names myself, I think they're more appropriate to the genre, so power to you. Sorry to complain, but that description is still pretty general......I don't know what to tell you. Do you want less common names, or generic ones? (i.e. Sakura and Takeshi are common, but Kiyoshi and Miyoko are less common.)
And if you want, you can make up names by combining words.
