The band became silent as Dexter approached them, like a pack of animals that suddenly grew wary of an enemy near them. Even Yasu stopped his hyena laughter.
"That's still illegal, Mr. Olsen." Ryuu told him.
"Give him a break." Kaoru intervened as he gave the blue-haired man a knowing smile. "After all, you should know a little something about improper relationships."
Ryuu tensed up then turned around, deciding that the student he needed wouldn't be in the classroom. "Fine. I'm getting you in another science class, though." he muttered and walked off.
Vinny watched him leave, then watched Kaoru follow after him with a chastising grin and Yasu close by. Ken stared at them for a moment longer then muttered a, "Let's go" and walked off in the other direction. The guitarist looked down at Dexter, smiling a thanks at him. "That was probably one of the worst experiences of my life." he said.

"No, it's just... weird is all." Ken explained while rubbing his head. "A lot of surprises are hitting me at once. That old man is gay, and so is Vinny, and they're in a relationship that I think is illegal. When did it even happen? I don't know. I never hung out with Vinny, so this is the most I've ever learned about him." he griped while scratching his head.

"It's not that. They're just surprised." Vinny explained while moving to hug Dexter close to him. "If they didn't like you they would've been a lot harsher. Give them time." He gave the teacher a sympathetic kiss at the top of his head. "How do you think your daughter would react?"
