⋆ History :: Tatima is the youngest child of a male-dominated family. It became very clear at the beginning of her childhood that her family’s devotions were divided. Though her father and eldest brother love her dearly, her mother and her two other brothers make her life a living misery. Her mother ignores her very existence, so Tatima in return simply ignores her too. Her 22 year old and 19 year old brothers constantly tease and make things difficult for her simply because of her sex and because they can. Had it not been for the support of her father and oldest brother, she would have attempted to run away from home more times than she can count the number of trees she’s cut down. Instead though she developed her own retaliation to her brother’s jesting in the form of verbal ridicule.
Other than the matter of family love, she was raised fine with no problems. As a trade by heart, all of her family work as Lumberjacks and she absolutely loves their job. So after school and on weekends, she travels with her family to the woods and spend the time hacking trees down. Unfortunately every time the Reaping comes along, her family's trade plummets towards poverty, so each child took out a terrasse, increasing the chances of one of the Averly children of being chosen. Thankfully Tatima's brothers were lucky enough never to be picked, but will Tatima be so lucky?
