[PrP] The Quiet Forest (Naraku Ki&Phaedra)

Sunlight barely filtered through the leaves around him, the sun just kissing the edge of the horizon. The morning was slightly chill, though Naraku took no notice of it. His inner fire heated him and warmed him, keeping him warm on the chilly mountainside. Naraku Ki looked around, searching for some sign of others. He had gotten a tad lost on the route from village to village, not that he had been going anywhere in particular. He liked to travel, but he also liked company. So far he had seen neither hide nor hair of another fae, something that greatly disappointed him.

Nevertheless he continued on traveling through the quiet forest. The birds had yet to awaken from their nightly slumber, though they would soon, and the night owls had just settled in for sleep. Naraku enjoyed the quiet, far less violent than many other ebil fae. He preferred to watch the chaos his disastrous encounters caused. It was part of his reason for traveling so much.

The warm burning flame of light stirred Phaedra as her eyelids lifted ever so slowly. She had been training late into the hours of night. There was no rest for other near by creatures as she remembered her sword gliding through the air ever so swiftly. Hacking trees nearby pretending they were the enemy. Anyone who tried pissing her off that night would have got sliced. She stretched out feeling a pain in her back and muscles sore. "Must have fought harder then I thought." she said in a light whisper.

Looking down the cliff she sensed movement in the trees. She didn't think too much about it, if anything it might be her sister trying to search for her. Cora was quite the morning Valk and always wanted to train. Sighing she simply ignored the coming footsteps and sprawled out on a nearby boulder trying to relax.

A gentle morning breeze ruffled his hair as Naraku Ki trod through the forest. As he trod through the woods, he pondered about the fae he might encounter on the mountain. Hermits perhaps, hidden from normal fae, or perhaps a few bush babies or faemonkeys. There was no end to the fae he could encounter, and Naraku was irked that he had seen none. Looking about for some sign of habitation, he noticed a cluster of boulders higher up. Thinking he might be able to get a better view of his surroundings, he headed towards them.

To his surprise, there was an armored female laying on top of one of the boulders. Sunlight gleamed off her armor and unsheathed sword. Her dark skin almost blended with the boulder, while her hair gave away her presence. She had yet to notice him, as he blended with the shadows. Pale eyes took in her form, while Naraku stayed a safe distance away. Not quite stepping out into the sun, he called out to her. "Isn't it a surprise to come across someone else on this lonely mountain," he questioned, his voice quiet and deep.
