Alrighty, so, as mentioned in this announcement we're reevaluating how we handle some parts of customs, and for this we wanna know what you think.
There are many cases where a canon character can be edited or altered enough to make it stand out from the canon. For example, you might have a pikachu character that has spots over both eyes, coloured feet, and no back stripes. It looks different from the "original" pikachu, and it seems kind of silly to say ONLY ONE PIKACHU IS ALLOWED! when thats the case. Similar enough with characters that have multiple incarnations, such as Link/Dark Link/Four Swords Links.
Another idea was that for characters that could have "multiple forms" (such as a bundle of different pikachu OCs) that each one would have redone edits, as opposed to reusing the one over and over. This would also help distinguish them.
Keep in mind this is not proposing such things as having two Simbas, or two Twilight Sparkles, or anything like that. This is purely for canon characters that can be changed as mentioned above. Characters with only one "form" will still be restricted to one incarnation in the shop.
So, we're wondering what you think of that. Would you be cool with having multiple characters based off the canon, but changed enough to be different? Or would you rather keep it at just the one, original canon character?
