 N I MxxI V O R YxxG A L L A G H E R No, no, no...
I felt my throat constrict as I heard my own name echoing through the silent district of five, and I knew at that moment, that I had just condemned my own sister. I was too much of a coward to even attempt meeting the gaze of my sister somewhere out in the crowd. Did she hate me for my name being called? I wouldn't blame her. I couldn't. We were both going into the games because it had been my name called.
Forcing my feet into motion, I slowly made my way towards the stage, towards the horrible woman who had called my name up. Attempting to keep my head held high, most likely failing, I stood at her side and nodded when she asked if I had siblings in district five. I pondered lying to her, but it wouldn't be of any use. Lucy-Ann was already making her way up towards the stage.
I wanted to do something to stop her journey to the stage. This wasn't right. Why did this have to be the year that I was reaped for the games? I didn't want my sister to go into the games with me whatsoever, and what sibling would? She was the baby of our family, and I would do my best to keep her safe during this horrific nightmare that was just starting to destroy my life. I couldn't let my little sister die in the games. Our mother needed her more than she would need me in the future, and I couldn't stand it if neither of her daughters came home to her.
Anger swelled in my stomach and I could barely contain it from leaking out and spilling all over the stage. What was wrong with those sick freaks?! Didn't they know what a horrid idea this entire quarter quell was? How could they purposely send in a whole family's worth of children? Didn't they know that so many peoples lives would be destroyed after these games were over. I'd be willing to bet that a rebellion may break out after this is over and done with. Hell, if I lived, I may even start one myself.

Xavier And Caitlyn Montgomery District 5 Xavier Xavier had, for once, actually allowed his sister to clutch his hand. He could tell, as always, exactly how Caitlyn felt. Caitlyn always wore her emotions plain as day on her face, never caring how she looked. Meanwhile, he was much more content with hiding how he felt, rather than letting the world know. So they stood in the crowd of people side by side, neither talking about what may happen. Xavier had never once thought about ending up in the Games alongside his sister. That was, until the twist had been announced. The terrible, cruel twist that only the equally terrible and cruel people at the Capitol had thought of. He stood frozen, every muscle tense as they drew the girls name. Luckily, it wasn't Caitlyn, it was another girl who happened to have a younger sister. As much as he hated it, he relaxed slightly, and he felt Caitlyn do the same. But Xavier remained tense, while his face remained solemn and serious, inside his mind was racing with millions of scenarios. He listened closely as the announced the male tributes name. His name. He almost felt numb to the chaos around him, Caitlyn seemed almost paralyzed by fear as well. Xavier swallowed and somehow managed to remain calm on the outside. He gently tugged Caitlyn forward, holding her up becuase he knew that if he let go of her hand she would collapse. he was terrified, not for himself, but for Caitlyn. He could handle the mental and physical pain that went along with these Games, but she couldn't. Caitlyn Caitlyn had entered the town square terrified and anxious. All she wanted was for this day to end, and that she and Xavier could be safe. Caitlyn didn't care about how others saw her fear, she was scared to death and she couldn't care less who saw. She grabbed her brothers hand, and was suprised when he didn't let go. It seemed like a terrible thought, but maybe this experiance would bring them together, and maybe stop the fighting. Caitlyn waited anxiously, her palms sweating, almost every part of her body shaking like a fragile leaf. To her relief, and suprise, the girl tributes name wasn't her own, but someone else. Caitlyn relaxed immediatly, nearly forgetting her brothers name could still be drawn. That was, until they actually said his name. For a half second, Caitlyn was oblivious to what had just happened, then it hit her. It was so strange that only two words could change her entire life, her brother could possibly be the end of her. For the longest while, Caitlyn felt as if she was in shock, she felt numb to everything happening, and she felt as if she couldn't move a muscle. For the only time in her life, she couldn't think, or talk. Caitlyn felt a tug on her wrist and she followed blindly. She knew it was her brother, it couldn't be anyone else. She kept her eyes trained on the ground, trying her best to keep tears from spilling out of her eyes.
