Dizzian Name: Dizzian Age: 27 Gender: Female Orientation: Straight Personality:
Appearance: Dizz is on the short side, measuring only about 5'2". She's a little gothy in her manner of dress. She has naturally darker skin, coffee with cream she calls herself. Her eyes are a warm brown color and her hair is black though she'll dye it every couple of months, changing the color of some or all of it. It's rather straight when left on it's own but she likes to wear it big.
History: Born and raised in a small coastal town. Dizzian grew up with her parents and her twin brother Dazzon. Her town was a very superstitious place though Dizz didn't buy into a lot of it, believing most to be just stories to scare children or pass the time. While not remote, her town seemed stuck in the past. She had a relatively normal life, went to school, had friends and enemies. The usual modern day childhood. Her relationship with her brother was very close. They always supported each other through every trial they faced. After high school they both attended the small community college near their home. After graduation they packed up and moved to a big city, determined to experience life to it's fullest. It was out in the city though that their relationship began to wane. Dizzian was by no means a 'good girl' but the people Dazzon started hanging out with scared even her. They began to fight over it and eventually stopped talking to each other all together. One day Dizz came home from clubbing with her own friends and discovered her brother was gone, all his possessions were gone, everything. He'd just disappeared. Dizzian immediately called the police. For the next few weeks an investigation went on into his disappearance but because there was no suspicion of foul play it was dropped rather quickly. Distraught, Dizzy moved back home with her parents, at barely 23 it was the first time she'd felt truly alone. Four year later and Dizz still awaits word from her brother. She's mostly moved on and is able to live a normal life, though she still feels the internal ache of her missing half.
- Insert the Finding of Amaranth -
Dizz has since moved away from her home town. She now lives alone with Amaranth. She still holds onto the hope that she'll be reunited with her brother. After all, she'd know if something happened to him right?

Amaranth Sign: Sagittarius Gender: Female Breedings: Personality: Quiet, grief stricken and spiteful all of which hide the iron strength inside of her. She's been hurt and has suffered for a long time but now she's prepared to move on. As she heals she'll become friendlier and display the stubborn determination that held her through her grief in a more positive light.
This can often lead her to being testy if you bore her. She doesn't like to be reminded of her past and will be mysterious about it. She's a proud cat though vanity plays no role in it. Because she comes from a time long before now, she can be old fashioned in her mannerisms and speech.
History: Quote: Our town has been here a long time, it's beginnings lost in the myths of our land. Most would call it quaint, and I can see why. We're a coastal neighborhood with low small houses, farmland and a small but bustling main street. Situated on a hill above a bay, the sea dancing at our feet and the wind singing along our cliffs. It really seems picturesque. Even the woods at our backs have an almost fairy tale appearance to them. It's an ancient forest, the trees grown so tall and close together that there's little left of the underbrush. In the mornings and evenings the sun shines through the upper branches in beautiful dusty beams. As is natural when a settlement has been around as long as ours, legends begin to accumulate and form part of our history. Whether based in truth or not they become as much a part of who we are as our own names. One such story comes to my mind now, a bitter sweet tale of love and loss.
No one alive today knows the origins of this story or even when it came to be, it's just always Been. Even the details have been debated. The story centers around a young beauty. A girl who was barely out of the first blooming of youth. She'd set her heart as many young girls do, on a handsome lad a few years her senior. The gentleman returned her affection gladly and their courtship was honored and welcome among the townsfolk of the time. This much, everyone is agreed upon. The details of the story get fuzzy around here. Some say the boy was wooed away by another woman, others say he signed onto a passing ship, looking to explore the world and make a fortune for the two of them.
I personally follow the belief that he was drafted and sent to war. In their tearful goodbye he'd promised to come back to her, gifting her a little purple star cat as a physical reminder of that promise. It is said she prayed every evening for his safe return to her, in every way and to every god that would hear her hearts deepest desire. Still, time marched on with no word of her young beau. Till one day, a courier came with a letter. Her young lover had been slain in battle. While he'd died an honorable death, sacrificing his life to save others, she could not forgive him his broken promise. In her grief she retreated to the woods to be alone, finding herself eventually at the cliff tops over looking the sea. She stayed there all day long, occasionally the townsfolk would see her standing at the edge, hands by her side and staring across the ocean. When approached she would say nothing but react violently if you tried to remove her from her spot.
Eventually night fell, a group of people went in search of her, determined to bring her home but she was never found. It is assumed that she jumped as twilight fell, her body carried away by the sea.
From then on people have claimed to see the star cat, the broken promise given to her by her soldier boy wandering the forest. It's coat ever growing darker as the years go by. I myself have never been one for ghost stories. They're good fun and can be delightfully scary but my skepticism remains. Still...I have seen those glowing eyes and heard that mournful cry. It's not something that is easily ignored or written off.
Those woods, while beautiful during the daylight, are the perfect setting for such a story at night. The fog from the ocean fills the valley but just barely creeps over the forest floor. Camping there is a common past time for the youth of our town. I myself included have spent many a night is those foreboding woods, only breathing easy when dawns first rays break through the fog.
The first time I saw her it was just as everyone else did, a flash of purple and the wailing cry. That was all but it was enough to spark my interest. Since then I've seen her 3 other times. The last time I actually saw her full on. I'd been camping again and woken early, just before the sun rose. The woods were still intensely dark. I rose from my sleeping bag and looked around, trying to spot what had jarred me from slumber. None of us slept with tents, the summer was warm and dry and we had little need for them. I saw her. She had snuck up on our campsite and was only 10 ft away from me. I held still as I watched her stare at me. I knew she recognized me, there was something awfully intelligent in those glowing eyes. We sat there for what felt like forever though it could only have been a few moments. As the woods began to brighten she stood up and walked off between the trees. I scrambled from my sleeping bag and barefoot chased after her. I could catch just glimpses of her as we ran. I could feel an intense desperation overcome me as the sun rose and I burst from the forest to the cliff top. I skidded to a halt, just feet away from the edge. The beautiful star cat was no where to be seen.
Now I am out again, it has almost become an obsession to find her now. I know she wants me for something. I can feel it deep inside, like my heart is a compass and always pointing to the cliffs. Why?: I think Amaranth sought me out because of my brother. We both in a sense lost people close to us but while hers are beyond reach, it's still possible I may find mine.
