Hello Burn, and I apologize for my mistakes, I'm not really english-speaking, (I'm still learning) , I live in France smile
Well... I'm a student in psychology, 2nd year... And I have to read a HUGE book, written by Sigmund Freud... and I also have to write a summary of that book, with all the concepts he explains...
I'm so TIRED of this ! Freud is all we learn, seems like he's the only one who did something important for psychology... I don't like reading him... I don't agree with all the things he said... "Your head hurts? It's because you're sexually attracted to your father..." WTF !?
I want to learn other things... sad I chose psychology, not psychoanalysis...
But that's not my only problem... I live in a small flat, and my neighbours are SO noisy ! Children playing, shouting all along the day, I can't even work at night because my other neighbours enjoy to party every night... I'm so tired, I can't sleep, I can't work... sad And I don't want to move (again) because I moved last year for the same reasons, and it didn't change anything.

Well This is quite a dilemma. There isn't much I can say, but when I read your post almost everything in it was negative. Saying I don't like this or that. When you focus on what you don't like it is the center of your attention whether you want it to be or not and it can ruin your whole day. Fortunately this rule applies to what you like as well but with opposite effects.
So how about instead of focusing on what you don't like, or trying to find a fault with something focus on the things you do want or you do like. I think it will help your situation even if it is just a little.
Because you can't control your situations you can only control your reactions toward them and it is up to you to have a positive or negative reaction.

You're right... That's something wrong with me, I focus on the negative effects... But I have accumulated so much tiredness, I became nervous, and I can't stand this situation anymore. I tried to do things I like, but now I'm late for my homework, I have to finish my "Freud issue" for next wednesday. I don't have time to take care of me, and to relax... :/

Freud was a gross child. I weep for you... and he most certainly isn't the most important person in psychology. How did you get to second year thinking Freud was the only important person in Psychology? He was a horrible psycho-analyist...

That IS awful... All my professors used to bash Freud like he deserved to be bashed, lol. If you're a male, you obviously want to have sex with your mother. If you're a female, you obviously want to be a male and have a p***s, but since you don't have a p***s you look up to your father who has a p***s, so you obviously want to have sex with your father.
Like... what??

He always keeps that in mind... I'm reading "Dora", one of his patient's story, I can summarize into one sentence: she "was in love with her father but she didn't know it". How surprising! stare
