Selina's senses sharpened as the adrenaline rushed through her. It was like she could feel Bruce's shadow over her from time to time. She knew she couldn't hit anyplace with two much open space, that would be to risky. Her eyes looked up, no Bruce in sight, and it was dark down here. Sucking in a deep breath, Selina pushed herself into the darkest part of the alley, the cat statue concealed against the wall of a building and the trash cans in the corner. She held as still as she could and prayed Bruce didn't see her.

Bruce continued to chase after her, until he lost her. Some how she had mange to give him the slip or maybe he just messed up. He figured he would double back until he heard gun shots. He looked down at the alleyway he had lost Selina in, then he fired his grappling hook into the air. She would have to wait, something more pressing just caught his attention.

Selina heared the gun shots as well, but she knew Bruce could handle it. And Bruce would handle it, fast and efficent as always. Selina knew she didn't have a lot of time to get out of there before he started looking for her at her known hideouts, but she wasn't headed to a base. Selina moved, more quietly now as she made her way to an old house, boarded up and worn down. She yanked the boards off a lower level window, making a hole large enough for her to squeeze through. She sighed and plopped down on the floor beside the window she'd used as her way in. She pulled the statue from its safe place on her belt and looked at it. With the money she got from this, she could have got a high grade hacker to give her a new identity, she could have left Gotham, maybe even the states. She could have kept Helena. Selian gritted her teeth as she removed her goggles and wiped away the tears that burned in her eyes. It had been a little less then 3 years since Bruce had helped her hide her daughter's identity and find a family she would be safe with. No more villains trying to kill her to get back at Selina, it still hurt to think about her. But it would have been selfish and dangerous to keep her. "Danm it," Selina choked out, sliding her goggles back down.

It didn't take long after arriving on the seen for Bruce to take care of the one responsible for the attempted robbery that had taken place. Once he was done, he took to the roof tops, the cops would be there soon to collect the bad guy, while Bruce made it back to where she saw Selina last. He made his away into the alley way to see if he could pick up her trail. Bruce then noticed a spot where she could have hidden, he knew she would not be there but maybe there was a clue there. Of course he could have checked her usually hide out, but he was sure she would not have gone to one of them. He knew that she knew he already knew her hiding spots. So she would be someplace else for now.

Selina pushed herself up, and made her way through the house until she found the door. It took a little effort but she managed to force it open. Weaving her way through the streets of the East End, she eventually made it to the "pawn shop" which she most offten sold her "happened by" valubles. The sale was quick and affective, and the money was decent. She fingered the bills, counting absentmindedly. She paused as she walked by the clinic she knew belonged to Leslie Thompkins. A friend of Bruce's and also a friend to the East End's impoverished population. Some of the people she treated were repeat offenders, some were drug addicts, but she always took them in. She had a very strict 'No Violence' policy which Selina knew some of Gotham's less crazed criminals even respected. Selina bit her lip and thought it over, maybe Leslie would be getting a donation from someone besides Bruce Wayne for a change. Selina folded the money up and made her way back to her 'house'. She hid the money under her floorboards and undressed. As at home as she felt in her Catwoman get-up, nothing beat a pair of sweat pants and a tank top, and of course, her matress which lay on the hardly furbished floor. Selina fell onto the matress, closed her eyes, and attempted to sleep.

After spending some time searching, he had finally found her. He was sure that buy now she would have sold the statue. So there wasn't much he could do about that; but he knew all to well that her actions would have some consequences. So he would sit and watch for the rest of the night. he couldn't bring himself to just leave her at that moment. This wouldn't be the first time he would have to save her, and he was sure that it wouldn't be the last time. All he could say was that her heart was in the right place... most of the time at least. Bruce stuck to the shadows and watched; waiting for something out of place to happen.

Every muscle in Selina's body tensed. Danm it, he found me, she thought, opening one eye slowly. She couldn't see him, or hear him. But she could deffinately feel him. She held still, but her eyes were moving around the room. She frowned and shivered, Bruce wasn't the only person watcing her. Moving through the shadows, fast and silent, was a tall figure garbbed in clothing very similar to Selina's Catwoman costume. He was sliding along the edge of the building which Selina resided in, his eyes intent on her bedroom. His entire costume was pitch black, almost panther like, except for two metalic gauntlets he wore on each wrist. The man inched towards the window which Selina's bed lay not far from, and with a sharp click, three claws emerged from the gauntlet on his left hand. He raised his fist and went for the window.

Bruce knew that if he set and wait, something was bound to happen. His instincts where right, It would seem; but he didn't not notice just who the guy was. At first he though that maybe he was a partner of hers; but he had a gut feeling that wasn't so. Bruce watched the masked figure as he made his way to Selina's window; but just before he could make it to her window. Bruce through a batarang that had a tether attached to it; it would wrap around the person's waist and Bruce would give a powerful tug, to pull them away as they leaped.

The man inside the suit gave an angry roar as he was yanked from his foothold. He snarled and slashed the line falling free of the grip. His claws screeched along the surface of the brick building as he slid down to the nearest window. He snarled up at the Batman as he began to inch backwards along the edge of the wall. Selina was up and moving the second she'd heared the claws. She spat an array of curse words as she changed as quickly(if not haphazardly) into her costume. Yanking up one of her floorboards she snatched the money as quickly as she could and fled, not bothering to pick up anything else. She wouldn't be coming back here for a while any ways. Selina picked a route which was always the most surprising choice of exit in her line of work, the front door. Deciding it would be a good idea to take to rooftops this time, she climbed the wall nearest to here, her figure obscured by the rest of the building.

He watched as the catman freed himself form his line. Why was he not surprised, it wouldn't be the first time a cat had cut the line of course. He really needed to make them more cut resistant; but that would have to wait for now. He knew that by now Selina would have also escaped, so he would need to deal with this guy quickly or he would lose her again.

The cat-assasin began making a mad climb up the wall of the building, trying to get on level ground with the Batman, knowing he'd be outmatched if he didn't. On the other building, Selina was doing the same. Her muscular arms managing to pull herself up faster then her would-be killer, she rolled onto the roof. But was unable to make herself go any further. She knew Bruce had found her and was watching her closely when the catman had attacked, and she was, dare she even think it? She was worried about him.

He fired a line into the air and swung over to the next roof; that way he and the assassin would be on leveled ground. He had no intention on letting him go; for he did have some questions for him after all. Soon he would be able to get a full grasp on what Selina had gotten herself into this time. While watching the assassin he had a feeling that Selina was still near by, she could be interested in who might be after her as well, or maybe she was just waiting for the right time to make her move once again.

The assasin launched himself at the Dark Knight, claws unsheathed. He flipped in the air so he landed behind Batman, and began a rapid session of strikes at his back. Selina jerked herself away from the fighting, muttering to herself. "Since when do you have a conscience?" she spat at herself, struggling to move. But she felt as if her feet where frozen to that spot, unable to remove themselves from the situation.
