I prefer those of the male sex. (Straight)
These are a few of my favorite things; ○Singing/Listening to music
○Reading (Preferably Manga or lengthy adult novels)
○Playing Video Games (Pokemon is her absolute favorite)
○Good food~
○Staring at attractive boys from afar
I completely abhor these; ●Homework
●People with superiority complexes
●Idiocy (She has such a short attention span for this)
●When adults underestimate her.
Personality: Under ordinary circumstances, Kimmy is mature and collected. She is highly intelligent and an extremely avid reader and gamer (more the latter than the former, she unfortunately admits). The nature of the video games she plays have taught her to constantly seek out and examine the irregularities in life and find out the true purpose behind them. That is one of the reasons why this "mystery event" is driving her so crazy. Behind her cool, calm shell, though, hides a dormant, feisty tomboy who was raised by four older brothers. She was nimble in her youth, but her flexibility and overall stamina have atrophied over years of sitting on her butt playing video games or reading. Kimmy is very excitable, both in a negative and positive way. The positive to this is that she is very friendly; if she sees people with a similar interest, she immediately latches onto them and begins to talk (which is why conventions have always been somewhat of a problem for her). The negative is that she has a very determined and stubborn personality; once she gets riled up about something, it is very hard to stop her.
This nature completely changes around attractive members of the opposite sex. Though she still displays many of her ordinary qualities, they are stifled dramatically. She is more meek and mild-mannered than usual, often avoiding eye contact entirely. This in part has to do with her lack of self-esteem; she believes that no boy would ever want a "flat chested, gamer, four-eyed tomboy" as a girlfriend. Though deep in her heart she wishes it not to be true, these thoughts often dominate her psyche.
Biography: Kimmy's parents met under very strange circumstances. Her mother, a Chinese immigrant, lived in a tiny, terrible apartment in the heart of New York's Chinatown. She happened to be coming home one night when her purse was stolen by an unknown stranger. Luckily for her, there was a strong, robust young Portuguese man nearby who saw the whole thing happening. He promptly caught up to the thief and beat him senseless, returning the purse to the little Asian woman. Though the language gap was huge (both parties barely spoke English), the two began dating and eventually (when they both learned at least comprehensible English) got married. Kimmy's father gathered up the money that he had saved during the years and bought a tiny yet comfortable bakery. Though the shop was located in Chinatown, it offered a variety of Asian, European, and American starches. The place was an immediate success. The young, married couple decided to start a family. Within the next few years, they conceived four healthy, feisty young boys. Every single one of them is a blessing... Kimmy's mother said one particular day with a long, pained sigh. But... I just wish I could have a girl to help me around the kitchen. The two decided to give it one more try. And ten months later, a beautiful baby girl was born.
Kimmy was always considered the baby of the family, though she was more mature than all of her older brothers combined. Her childhood was a happy and active one; she would frequently sneak out of the house with her brothers and run around the streets, playing hide-and-seek around the crates and weaving in-between the legs of tourists. She was a ball of energy in her youth, bouncing off the walls and always getting in the way of her parents. The only time they could get her to shut up was on Saturday mornings, when the old Pokemon shows would rerun on the television. Her and her four brothers were absolutely in love with the little yellow mouse named "Pikachu." For her fifth birthday, her parents had gotten her a bright yellow pillow with the Pokemon's face on it. It is still her most treasured possession, other than her video games, of course.
When she was about ten years old, her oldest brother brought home what she at first thought was a large cellphone. Big brother? What is that? He only smiled at her and handed the rugged-looking bright red cellphone to her. This? This is a Nintendo Advance SP. I found it at a thrift store. He flicked the switch on the side and she was absolutely fascinated. What do you do on it? He smiled and tapped the deep red cartridge sticking out of the bottom. You play video games on it. I found this game extra special for you, so enjoy it~ His little sister's brown eyes widened upon seeing the title screen. Pokemon Ruby Version was emblazoned across it in large letters. IT'S A POKEMON GAME!! The little girl squealed loudly, jumping onto a nearby couch and beginning her very first Pokemon adventure.
Those were the origins of her video gaming career. Several years later, she finally saved up enough money to purchase a Nintendo DS. Since then, every single cent went towards the acquisition of new video games. Her parents were never particularly wealthy, so she had to work to the bone for this money. But, she felt that this allowed her to appreciate the video games even more. A few months after turning sixteen, a particular advertisement began running across the airwaves. Something about a Pokemon event. Kimmy herself, being the Pokemon enthusiast that she was, had never missed a free event, especially if it was just a subway ride away. But the rumors that had been circulating around about the nature of this particular event peaked her interest. Was it really some sort of virtual reality? Whatever this event was, she swore to herself that she would be one of the lucky few to acquire it.
Game: Ruby version!
Hero: Sapphire! She's so cool!
Other: She has a strange obsession with the character Ruby from the Pokemon Adventures manga.
