He let his mind wonder to the war, so many souls lost in a war that was inevitably to be lost. people where dyeing and there seemed to be no way to protect those that had nothing to do with this war. he needed to speak to someone, and he thought that maybe the one sister he had who was involve int he war could provide some clarity to his clouded head.

It wasn't every day she's called upon by one of her siblings. Even more so since most of them are dead. It's rare that Esther would even acknowledge her brothers but since war has started she assumed her brother Alistair had something useful to share. It wasn't only because of info that she agreed to come...there was a strange sense that's been following her since Bellris has withstood their advances.
Perhaps...she's afraid the end of everything she knows is drawing to an end.
"So, brother, I am here...what is it you wanna talk about?" She ask with her usual non caring ways but her voice didn't match the arrogance that topically came with her words.

He knew she did not need to be told all of this. She already knew. " and you saw the letter elentiya sent. Any of us that get involved have a guaranteed death. I belive father has been out monuvered. And Evelyn s claim to the throne is. Valid. That demoralyzes our own troops. Drosselmeyer appears to be fighting to hold on to power. Yet i cant say we are bound to lose." he looked finally from the book squarely to his sisters eyes. His eyes spoke of a tiredness that came from long nights spent reading. He tapped the book. " i truly think we can win.tho its a long shot in the dark. Sister. Why don you seek to remain in power?" his reading had gotten him nothing. But perhaps he could trust in his sisters power. If that meant helping with the war. Then he was finally ready to act.

Esther was abruptly take back by her brother's suggestion but soon smiled and gave an audibly agreeable laugh. "Oh Alistair, it has been too long!" He laughter quickly cooled and her eyes sharply glow to her brother's obviously over worked stare, a friendly smile true to her finely pink lips. "I almost forget you can be just as cunning as the rest of us. Tell me, how would you propose I go about remaining in power?" She hadn't told anyone about her one visit to Phobos before the war had started, and with her open opportunity still in thought she waited to hear out Alistair first before adding her own thoughts to the matter.

The people flock to Evelyn not because she is the right heir but because father is an idiot. Id you become indispensable in peoples life's then those masses become the shield your enemies cant pierce through.the fact that not all of lionis has left us means some still think the drosselmeyer should be the rightful ruler. And don't get me wrong. If you can give me what i want i can guarantee that even if they win it will be for not. There victory will come at too high a cost..." he took a moment to breath. To read his sisters reaction. To see if she could see where his theory was going. "So how do you become the savior of the people. You end what others will not. You end the chaos and bring back order. The quicker and more decisive the better." his finger stopped what he said next weighed heavy on his mind not because he cared about his father. But because such actions are not spoken or taken easily. He gave the topic the proper thought for weeks before calling this meeting. " we kill the king take control of the army and call for a seize fire till a meeting with the other nations is held. This will put us on the defensive. But it also means we effectively call to an end of the war. Should the other nations continue to attack they become the aggressors. The war switches perception. We become the right."
He would let her think it through.he wondered if she could see what he was suggesting. His hand lay on the book.

Esther was rather surprised at what Alistair said but it made sense that in the end his mind came to this conclusion. She had thought about this idea too, but her brother did so for some true sense of peace and partially because of the homicidal tendencies passed down from their father's blood. It was an odd thing to hear a peaceful man come to such an ultimatum but such dire situations have driven everyone to the extreme.
"You've thought about this long and well." His sister calmly speaks before deciding to take a seat across the table from her brother. "But I don't I think our plan will run as smoothly as we hope. Not everyone does care about Evelyn's claim to the throne but I fear she has enough supporters to make it matter. If I did take power after father's life meets and untimely end then she'll insist I step down anyway. Another factor I can see in all of this is Bellris...I don't think they'll let up until they see Lionis done with for good." That was when a smile appeared upon her face once more. "Yet, if we ourselves made friends with the right people I feel that perhaps the ceasefire will work. I had spoken to King Herod before the war and he told me he might follow me if I could prove myself to him, the king of war...Not too sure what that means but at least we have one possible ally in him. Another I may think of is Count Dixon of Titanus. He and I have grown rather...close, and if I can convince him of what we're trying to do then perhaps his words could reach Ethe's queen regent and slip right into her ear."
She took in a breath and sighed her stress. "Do you really think your plan will work Alistair? Do you have that much faith in others they a peaceful resolution can be achieved?" She herself did want something akin to what her brother has planned but she wanted to know how much of his heart was really in this plan of his; And she questions if she should even invest her heart in the thoughts of peace from war.

" I do not believe that people can keep peace forever." he broke eye contact and looked down at the book. he let the last few months weigh heavily on his mind as he experimented more and more with his power. " I have faith that peace can be achieved only for a little while. and you are right she has more than enough to leave those that don't to be a minority. but remember those that believed her to exist where a minority at one point."
he did not share his sister's same smile. " I personally think there where smarter less bloody ways to get to the throne for Evelyn. this war.. it serves only egos. and what I want most is to talk to the true gods of this land." This was the final truth that he could reveal to his sister. the true spread of his thoughts. " you are right if we make the right friends that could help, but often those friends are the ones that benefit the most from the chaos...tho honestly"
He smiled sadly and tiredly spoke his resolve. " we do not have time for that. or rather I don't. I would like your help, but I have planned to kill father, this war is too dangerous for the people to let go. I can't imagine what kind of atrocities booth sides may commit."
