Roy's ears twitched at the sound of Katsumi's movement but his focus remained outside of the cave. He could of swore he saw something shining. The likely candidate on his mind made him determined to see if the guy was out there.
"Wha?" He l pulled his focus away from the scenery and look at Katsumi. A half smile half grin hybrid formed on his face. "Oh, ha, yeah. I could get up this time without my limbs wantin' ta fall off.... Thanks for the help... "
Despite his own spite toward magic he was thankful Katsumi knew something about healing. He wouldn't say anything about it, one step at at time, but he was thankful regardless.
"Ya get some good shut eye?" He inquired back after a short pause. His focus returned to the scenery outside the cave.

Katsumi noticed his focus on the outside and the determination hiding in his eyes. "Looking for that metal someone?" she asked him though she was doubtful that kitsu was still around, why would that kitsu be unless he made this place his home.
She grin-smiled back, that was good to hear, because it meant Roy could walk home now. Sure she could transport herself home through magic but with Roy and his spitefulness towards magic that wasn't going to likely happen but she didn't mention it.
She gave a nod "I did," though she didn't know exactly when she fell asleep it had to have been sometime after the rain stopped, she couldn't remember hearing it after a while. She was a bit anxious, she wanted to get home with the kits, and they would be so excited to see Roy again.

"Thought I saw the creep... Guess it musta been somethin' else." Roy gave the landscape one more look before turning his attention to Katsumi. The returned grin-smile was appreciated. At least she was able to sleep well away from the comforts of the warm house... speaking.
"We should head back... don't want the squirts to think both of us are gone." Roy laughed, a little nervousness hidden within it. He wouldn't want them to think they were abandoned. That would only continue the cycle. "I can move around just fine."
He shrugged and wondered if he would run into that tin can kitsu again. Probably not the best thing to look forward to until he was fully at his best again. Regardless, a walk would be nice after being so immobile the other day. Katsumi probably had magic to make the travel quicker, but Roy decided not to inquire. More so out of his own spite toward the practice.

Simply listening Katsumi only gave Roy a nod without a word. Unable to think of anything comforting to say it was better to let things be as they were. Another poke at his pride maybe he’d up and leave again? Katsumi couldn’t shut off that irrational fear that continued to nag in the back of her mind. She did her best to hide it by staring out at the bright morning scenery.
Katsumi couldn’t help but agree with his next statement, she couldn’t imagine how they would feel then, she didn’t want to “Agreed, So long as you think you can get back there in one piece,” she said teasing lightly “I’d hate to explain bringing you back in more than one.” She grinned at him, different than he would have seen before, softer perhaps? She ended up with a slight smile on her face.
“You don’t have anything to worry about...”

*Tch* Roy lifted his head proudly, though his muscles still did protest the action. A small suppressed wince formed on his face. " 'course I can make it back in one peace."
Through the wince his own grin formed, one to mimic Katsumi's own. "No need to worry about havin' to explain any of that."
He glanced over to Kat before taking a step outside of the cave. It was much easier to move around than it had been the night before, but still his body ached. One of these days, he'd have to challenge that metal kit to a re-match and repay the favor.
"See, just fine." He looked over his shoulder as he grunted. Oh yeah... she'd buy this.

She let him have his little moment of pride, "Then lets head home, they are waiting." she said exiting the cave, she gave him a nod, "Good," she flicked her tails and started walking at a fairly slow pace, one that Roy would be able to keep without hurting himself too much
She paused, and turned back as he grunted, She gave him a rather unimpressed look, but laughed a little she pulled Sun out of her obi belt before handing it back to Roy, he'd probably be happy to have it back, the thing saved his life more than once she was sure.
Katsumi guessed they would have to stop a few times so she could check to see how his bumps and bruises were healing.
"C'mon tough guy." she teased as she resumed her slow pace.

Roy paused in his advance when Kat relinquished his cherished weapon. Golden eyes trailed from the crimson color to the paws holding them. A boyish grin found its way to his maw as he found himself lost in thought once more, and counted himself fortunate to have acquired such a mate. Even if for the time being he wouldn't admit to that. What he had said before out of rage he held no more to be true than him being able to fly.
*ahem* He caught himself before he lingered longer in thought on those opulent paws.
"Thanks." He finally spoke as he took the weapon and replaced it in its holster.
'tough guy'. If only. Roy followed along quietly, not really having much to say. Quietly and secretly within the safety of his own mind he found himself admiring kitsu before him.
