Be on the lookout for hidden events.Keep your eyes peeled for hidden events in the forums that earn you
free items. For example, on Pi Day (March 14th) if you
posted the number for Pi, you could get a free Pizza Pi item.
It was only in the forums and it wasn't officially announced!
I highly recommend paying attention to Dev Alerts because
they sometimes hint at free item events that
the announcements don't tell you about.Dumpster Dive!Visit the Dumpster Dive game frequently and get free stuff! Yes, a lot of times
it only gives you paper and sucky items, but the paper actually has some value:
Many people collect it for making certain things in Alchemy! If you
collect a lot of it, some people will pay you a pretty good amount for it.
However, if you really don't want it, you can always
donate it back or just trash it from your inventory.Aquarium & zOMG! Daily ChanceSet up your aquarium and feed your fish every so often, so every
day you check it you can click the Overseer (Little clam thing) and get
free items! The happier your fish are, the better things you can get.
Make your fish happy by feeding them and changing the temperature,
lighting, and music for your tank until you see a lot of hearts pop
up when you save it.
In zOMG!, certain NPCs will give you a daily chance when you talk to them.
On the area map you will see two little dice in spots where the
daily chances are.
