Electric blue eyes that could not interpret light, were always active behind their closed shields, marked by lashes at the end. The eyes of this particular lion navigated through another plane of existence, where the normal lion could not see. Glimpses in crossover flashes lead him to different villages or situations in which he could not explain, truthfully it had gotten him into some pretty sticky situations, but fate had always exposed hthe reasoning for his presence. Though the blue lion, aptly named Triton after the various colors of the sea, lived a somewhat nomadic lifestyle, he longed to settle down. The fates, so it seemed, had other ideas in mind so far on his journey.
Contemplating the various strings between existences, the soothsayer sat elbow deep in his most familiar spot of the river where he could feel the currents movements, mostly oblivious to his surroundings.

A chocolate brown lioness with vivid blue markings was approaching the river, needing some water to quench her thirst. She was thinking about how delicious that gazelle was she had for breakfast and contemplating what she should have for lunch. She was debating between a nice caribou or maybe she could try to snag a zebra. She wasn't really paying attention to where she was going as she finally arrived at the edge of the river. In fact, she was so deep in thought, that she actually lost her footing and landed with a splash in the water. That seemed to get her attention because she snapped out of her thoughts and let out a groan. Then the lioness whose name was Brownie caught sight of another in the river.
"Oh, I am so sorry if I disturbed you, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. I just came to the river to get some water and it seems I got more than enough water, just not to drink. Hopefully this will teach me not to be so lost in thought when I am walking,"Brownie explained to the lion in a rush, not knowing he couldn't see her the way she could see him.

The lion found himself laughing as he was splashed with the water. The laughing felt good, he couldn't really recall laughing in the past week easily. His visions never showed him visions from his own past or future, but that of others. The spirits also only seemed to give him anything at all when they saw fit, so the blind lion was often caught off guard to happenings in his own life.
"Worry not, bright one, water dries and lost ones always find her way when she takes the path her heart takes her." His voice was calm, cool, and still had a chuckle in it, although he sincerely ment what he said. Standing up he walked over to where the lioness' voice seemed to be coming from. This river was very familiar to him, he knew the bed well. "Are you hurt? There's a sharp rock not two feet from your head there." He motioned with his nose to the direction he intended, straight at a large abnormally painful looking rock.

Brownie watched how the male lion walked and she tilted her head curiously. She momentarily forgot she was sitting in the river with her fur soaking, while she was getting a good look at him. His fur seemed to sparkle like a starry night sky and his calm voice seemed to calm her down as well. Then she heard him say something about a rock and she looked where he pointed. Her eyes widened in shock, having not seen that rock protruding there until he had mentioned it. She realized she could have been seriously hurt and she could only be thankful she wasn't.
"No, it seems that I am uninjured, unless you are talking about my emotional pride. I really should learn to be careful when I am walking around, especially near water. Oh and I must say, you have a very musical laugh,"Brownie smiled brightly.

A humble smile crossed his face as he nodded, " A musical laugh, that is the first time I've heard that. Thank you. Ah, where are my mannors? I'm Triton Tiresias, The Wandering Soothsayer to some lands." He gave a very cerimonial bow so low that he took a drink of water, showing that he did have a playful side and ment her no harm.
"Would you like to dry off?" He motioned to the land. "I know of a patch of grass that gets the best sun." Honestly he hadn't smiled this much in one day in many days. Probably since he last saw his family. In this moment he decided that had been too long coming, but where could this urge to be near his family be coming from? Only the spirits knew up to this point.

Brownie listened to him speak and as he introduced himself, she bowed her head to him. As he took a drink from the river during his bow, she let out a light giggle, having found this very amusing for him to do. She then though about what he said about drying off and decided that would probably be a very good thing to do.
"Yes, I think going somewhere to dry off would be a really good idea right now. I don't think being soaked is a really great thing for me right now. So since you know a good place, please lead the way, "Brownie encouraged. She got to her feet, but as she put her left front paw down, she let out a yip of pain. It seems that the way she had fallen, she must have twisted her ankle.

Triton grimaced at the yip, it was one of his least favorite sounds like nails on a rock wall. His disability had left him vulnerable and his wandering spirit incased him in danger, as a result TT had to be at the top of his physical game to ward off potential attackers. In this situation, however he found himself in the advantage category for he had developed healthy toned muscles capable of lifting the lioness to safety.
"I believe, Brownie that if one has the ability to help another in need, they also have the responsibility. I swear I harbor no ill or perverted will." In the watery lion's mind, that seemed to cover his bases of chivalry so the female wouldn't become alarmed at his next move. Slowly he approached her and dipped his head down under her chest, between her two front legs and followed with the rest of his body underneath the lioness and carried her up the bank to shore and set her down.

Brownie nodded her agreement to his statement, thinking people should be responsible for helping, if they could. She was a little surprised when the blue lion picked her up and carried her to shore, a soft blush on her cheeks. She laid down in the warm grass and smiled in gratitude for what he had just done for her.
"I thank you for carrying me to shore, I am not sure how far I would have gotten myself. I suppose this is another lesson in being careful, since now it appears I hurt myself,"Brownie sighed.
