Username: ScorpionsApprentice Name: Io (pronounced Eye-Oh) Aleera Delcario Age: 11 Appearance: Race: Human Bloodline: Pureblood Personality: Io is a sweet girl. She is quiet at first, and rather shy when meeting new people. But once she gets comfortable, she bubbles up into an extremely fun, outgoing girl. She is incredibly smart, speaks her mind, and isn't easily swayed by other's opinions. She has a strong will, but never imposes her own beliefs on others. She just likes sharing her beliefs, and hearing what other's have to say. She is easy to get along with, and makes friends just as easy. Loyal to her friends, Io would do anything to help someone in need. She loves to joke around, and is beginning to become a rather sarcastic child. Often times, she has her head in the clouds because she is a rather big daydreamer. Biography: Her mother, Linda Delcario, and her father, Vincent Delcario, live in Godric's Hollow. Both of the Delcarios work within the Ministry of Magic. Her mother is an advisor to the Minister himself, and her father is and Auror. She was born in winter. On her fourth birthday, she went to work with her father, who brought her to see something spectacular. A downed dragon that was rampaging a quiet town up in the mountains. He was to expose of it, but something happened he didn't anticipate. Being a typical four year old, Io ran out to see the dragon despite her father's warnings. Vincent was about to attack the dragon, to keep his attention elsewhere until he could get Io to safety, when everything stopped. The dragon didn't attack his daughter. Instead, the two stared at each other for a long time. Frozen in fear, and awe, he watched as his daughter reached out to the dragon while the dragon lowered his snout to her. When they touched, a flash of light blinded them all. Once all returned to normal, Io was laughing at the dragon, who was grumbling in an odd purr sort of way. It turns out Io had bonded with a dragon in a way no one had heard before. She could communicate with it mentally, feel what he felt, knew what he knew. When he tried to take her away, they both became outraged, screaming out in agony. He had to take the dragon home with him. Her mother consulted the Minister, and the entire thing was kept quiet while they tried to study Io. She had a carving burned into her skin just over her left shoulder blade upon her back, almost like a tattoo, but the groves ran into her skin. She seemed naturally more powerful than before, simply thinking things to happen, as they would. On top of that, fire could no longer hurt her, and she healed far faster than normal. Her parents had been worried at first, but seeing Io and the dragon together stilled their hearts. He took care of her, and they learned to accept him. Now, they are nervous to see the two go to school, but it is something every young wizard and witch must go through. There has still been little progress about the anomaly of these two, and even while at school, Io will be required to go to the Ministry of Magic once a month for study. No one at Hogwarts knows about Io's predicament except for the Headmaster, a few select members of the Faculty, and Hagrid, the gamekeeper. Profession: Student Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw Year: 1st year Classes: Flying (10am-1:50pm Th), Transfiguration (10am-11:50 M, W, F), Potions (2pm-5:50pm Tu, Th), Defense Against the Dark Arts (4pm-5:50pm M, W, F), Charms (11am-1:30pm Tu, Sat) Other: She is bonded (mind, body, and soul) to a dragon named Paladin, who resides in the Dark Forest while Io is at school.
