Aegis Castle is the most notable location upon arriving on the world Aegis. The king is a noble man in every sense of the word. Though recently he has fallen into a depression ever since the loss of his queen. The king's two sons and his daughter were there when she died, and they were even the ones to witness the fall of the world's guardian: Rufio. It all took place at the hands of Virule, one of the orphan boys that grew up in the Slums. Not one of them understands why their world has been spared, but it would seem that the keyblader's sacrifice and the power of his sister have spared their world...for now.
The castle grounds are covered with lush, green grass. There are two large fountains on both sides of the grand entrance into the castle. The walls that surround the castle grounds are similar to those that make up the walls surrounding the castle town. They are made of granite and rise up high enough so that anyone trying to invade their kingdom cannot scale these walls, and it would take immeasurable force to break them down. The only real problem that can be seen with these walls is that they can't protect against forces such as the Heartless and the Nobodies. Large trees also rise up in a few places on the castle grounds, and each one bears a different kind of fruit.
Inside the castle, the grand entrance hallway is incredibly beautiful. The crest of the kingdom hangs on beautiful tapestries that hang from the pillars, and large pictures of the king and his family adorn the various hallways of the castle. The only areas of the castle that visitors are actually allowed to visit are the gardens (which are out in the back behind the castle), the entrance hallway, the throne room, and the library. Everywhere else in the castle is usually off limits except in cases of emergency, in which case keybladers such as Rufio are allowed to explore and fend off any enemy that has infiltrated the castle.
