Once upon a time there was devil who plotted to destroy the human race to show his rebellion against God. But his plans crumbled down when he fell in love with a human girl. When the girl got the devil at his vulnerable. she sealed him with a spell which could only be broken by anyone who could find his prison with the key. When the other demons knew this, they avenged their devil king, and the girl was never seen again.

The devil bore two sons from her, Cade and Vincent. They have been roaming around the Earth in search for their father. Cade believed his father must be freed, so that humanity would pay for their treachery.Vincent believed they deserve a chance to live.

The search was almost impossible for both, until Vincent met Leah. He had felt the presence that made his demon blood weak. Vincent tried not to harm any human as much as possible but he liked to retaliate at evil doers. He had fallen passionately in love with Leah, until Cade discovered this.

Cade kidnapped Leah and set a trap for Vincent. It was a desperate move, but Vincent took the bait. He tried to fight off Cade but was useless since Leah was at Cade's disposal. Vincent accidentally pushed Leah into the ground when Cade used her as a shield.

The voice of the devil resonated, and he rose from the burial ground. He was free. Leah's ring was the key to the sanctum, and rhe ground was his prison. Leah was unconscious, and the devil tried to attack Cade.

"I will help you destroy the human race, father." Cade reasoned

But the devil said, " You will eventually get rid of me after I get rid of Vincent. I have seen everything, even your thoughts and intentions. Vincent, never trust a human like I did. It will be your gravest mistake."

Vincent offered a truce which Cade gradually accepted. They destroyed the devil together, and without an heir to the devil's throne, they have to fight for it.

"So my brother, are we fighting for the fate of the human race?", Cade questioned.

"Why do you want them gone? What is it they have done to you?"

"Our mother betrayed our father. It's as simple as that."

"Please realize that our father started this, not our mother."

"... and now he's gone."

Cade turned around and walked away. Leah started to gain her consciousness.

"So what will it be Cade?" Vincent takes Leah into his arms.

Just before he was out of sight, the air resonated with his low voice,

" I have lost whatever it is I was fighting for."

“There was a dark house, one filled with unspeakable horror, ghosts and goblins.” Tom was trying to spook his little sister Lisa into going to the haunted house. Old Pappy, the neighborhood’s old coot told Tom the story of the haunted house. It was a creepy house that hadn’t been cleaned for a while, probably because the owner was too lazy to clean it all by his or her self. “I dare you to go inside the house. What are you, a chicken?” taunted Tom.
“No…I-I’m not scared, and I will go in.” Lisa muttered. She tried to disguise the small tremor in her voice. Her big brother was always trying to freak her out, but today, she wasn’t going to back out of the challenge. She strode in quickly, trying to hide the fact that her heart was pounding about one million beats a minute. Her hand reached for the creaking door, twisted the doorknob, and slipped in.
“Don’t forget, there won’t be any lights for you to guide your way,” Tom called out. He felt that being trapped in a dark, dingy house was the most horrific part in Old Pappy’s tales. The wooden door closed, preventing any screams from being heard.
A couple days later, Olivia read the story in the newspaper. She was a sixteen year old teenager who was a mystery lover at heart. “Hey Oliver, get up, you pile of lazy bones!” she hollered. Oliver was her lazy twin brother. Like most teenage boys of the modern world, he was sloppy and woke up late in the afternoon when he could. He dragged himself down the stairs moaning and groaning. “Look at the news,” exclaimed Olivia, “there’s a girl around town.” He seized the paper and skimmed it.
“Let me guess, we have another mystery on our hands,” he said sarcastically.
“Well come on!” Olivia got her jacket, pulled her grumpy brother out of the kitchen, got the car started, and drove down to scene of the crime. Apparently the police were explaining to Tom that they didn’t find any girl in the house. Tom seemed like he was terribly frustrated. The twins sprinted over to the depressed boy and asked what happened.
“I dared Lisa to go in and she never came out,” answered Tom. He started pacing again. Short, sweet and to the point, Olivia thought. She pulled her own brother aside.
“We have to help him,” Olivia insisted.
“Why?”
“Come on, it’ll be fun.”
Oliver gulped. There goes Olivia, chattering away a mile a minute while simultaneously digging their graves. They sneaked into the house while the police were distracted by the freshly baked doughnuts brought by Lisa’s mother as a present to the police. It was terribly dark, and then Oliver stepped onto thin air and tumbled down the stairs. Thump, ouch, thump, ouch he went while Olivia looked down in horror at then dark emptiness that the house brought. The light switched on, probably because it was one of those clapping controlled lights.
“What do you know? Your clumsiness helped for once,” chortled Olivia.
“Whatever,” moaned Oliver. The pain wasn’t enough to make him cry, but no matter what, he still wished that he hadn’t come. The room was small and contained a few things, one of them being a piano. On the top of the piano was a piece of paper that had smudged letters of a messy left handed person that had the letters F E D E. Oliver looked at the crumpled paper and thought of it. Whoever wrote it was in a rush and didn’t have enough time to complete the name Fed Ex, as in the delivery company.

“Wonderful!” Olivia shouted cheerfully, now they were on the right track.
The next day (also known as the day before Halloween), they went around town to all the local Fed Ex stores to see if they knew anything about a lost girl. Everyone one of the storekeepers stared at the kids in confusion. When they lingered long enough, the storekeepers told them to get out of the store. There was only one more place to go.
The twins started towards Lisa’s house, hoping to find some clues. They asked Lisa’s mom if they could come in to talk about Lisa. She politely opened the door for them, stifling her cries. She told them to call her Mrs. K and then went on talking about Lisa. Olivia’s eyes wandered around the elegant living room and landed on a gigantic portrait of Lisa’s family. It included Lisa, her brother, her parents, and a few other adults that could’ve been her uncles and aunts. Lisa was wearing a striped shirt, black pants, and a pink hat. Olivia squinted, looked closer, and saw finer details like a gold necklace with a blue diamond. How pretty, she thought. After fifteen more minutes, they thanked Mrs. K and walked out onto the lawn. They wandered around the streets silently thinking to themselves about the case. Olivia saw Old Pappy in the coffee shop. She pulled her brother into the shop. The exotic smells of coffee and drinks she couldn’t identify overwhelmed her nose.
“Hi,” Olivia exclaimed, “what are you doing here, Mr. P?”
“Oh!” replied Pappy, “you scared me, youngsters. I’m just writing a letter to my friend in Wisconsin.” He used his left hand to make a couple more smudges on his paper. “Well, you didn’t come for small talk, what is up?” He had horrible slang. An elder man like him should never try to talk street.
“We can’t figure out what happened to poor Lisa.” Oliver blurted out.
“Well that is a problem, I suggest that you go back to that old house and bring your thinking caps with you.”
So Oliver and Olivia decide to follow Old Pappy’s instructions and walked over a couple blocks to the haunted house. It was a pretty small town. They sneaked behind some bushes and got in, this time, they brought a flashlight. Olivia came back to the piece of paper with smudges of a left handed person. F E D E. Hmm, hmm, hmmmm, she thought. Bingo! She’d played the piano before, they were musical notes. Olivia opened the keyboard and tapped it out. The piano shifted and a trapdoor opened, inside was a passageway to somewhere. On the ground was a gold necklace with a blue diamond. Oliver snapped out of his trance and whimpered, “I don’t think I want to go in there.
“We don’t have to, I know where it leads,” answered Olivia, “I know who did it. She was breathing hard from the excitement and strangeness of it all.
Oliver looked at his sister wanting to know what she was thinking. Almost unable to speak, he uttered out his one-word question, “Who?”
“Old Pappy!” Olivia suddenly screeched out. “The story he told Tom was wrong, the house lit up when you fell down, even though he told Tom said there was no light in the house. Think about when he wrote with his left hand, it was the exact same handwriting.” She thrust the paper in the air. “All that explains where Lisa is,” she pointed to the hole, “and that’s where Lisa dropped her necklace, the hole must be connected to Old Pappy’s house.
They walked towards Old Pappy’s house, both siblings deep in thought.
Old Pappy explained that all of it was true. He only told the story as a Halloween joke. He never expected Lisa to even find the hole and go through it all, usually kids would just take a quick peek inside and run right out. The old coot had dug out the tunnel that connected the houses a long time ago. He owned both of the houses, but only recently had his brother passed away, leaving his house to Old Pappy. Lisa was hiding out at old man’s house all along, she was getting her brother back for all the mean things that he ever did to her. She apologized and had promised to never do that again. Lisa’s parents thanked the twins a thousand times, or possibly more.
“Well, another case closed.” Olivia expressed happily.
“That’s your only case.” Oliver smirked.
“Oh, just be happy for me,” snapped Olivia.
They bickered all the way back home.

It's not bad. It's a bit hard to understand at first, but it's got a good idea behind it!

I like this! It's very descriptive! I could see vivid images of what was going on at almost every point in the story!

The point where it switches over to Olivia and Oliver is a bit abrupt though. Maybe adding a space between the paragraphs could have helped! xD

Overall, a really good story!
