Gage knew all about making the hard sale, or trade, or whatever, and he wasn't taken in when Chael made it look like he was ready to walk away from a deal. Yes, he wanted that Ditto, but he wasn't about to lick some snot nosed kid's shoes just to get it. "Alright, kid. Maybe we can trade some other time. I'd like to see-" Trailing off, Gage was nearly blinded by a light near as bright as the sun, and the worst part is that it was right in his arms. Before, Graham's pokemon had been evolving, and Gage's Eevee thought that looked like great fun! So she concentrated, concentrated hard, and now finally the fruits of her adoration and love for her trainer was enough to spark the sun evolution in her. When Gage could finally see again, left blinking with spots swimming in his vision, the fuzzy Eevee had turned into a velvet smooth lavender cat, swishing her forked tail. She mewled up at Gage, so content just to be held in her trainer's arms. But that evolution had worn her out, and with a wide yawn, Gage's newest Espeon fell asleep. Gage was wordless for a moment, and then he stammered out, "W-well, that was a pleasant surprise. Today just gets better and better. Y-you have fun out there, kid." To Desert DesertsPost 338 And Chael would leave, not turning his head to even the evolution. If he turned back, it'd show he was desperate. Which he wasn't. He had only came to give his offer. He said he was looking for a Riolu and was willing to make a trade for one, preferably male. Now he even knew where to find one, even if he wasn't able to make a trade. Now he knew something about Gage's Espeon now. It must be low leveled since he was still looking for one last time. Which meant it didn't know a key move to take out other psychics: Bite. And unless her Hidden Power was Dark, his soon to be Espeon had an edge over this one. Was he that competitive? Yeah, when it came to battling at least. It'd be a matter of time before the two of them tried strangling each other, without a trainer like Nolan or Lukas in the way like before. "Thanks for the offer, but I hear traded Pokemon level faster than those that aren't traded. I'd rather not risk having a Pokemon I can't control outpace my team before I can get a badge." said Graham, shaking his head. It took Kippers some effort, but he finally managed to walk over to his Trainer. "Good job." he said with a grin. Gage's Eevee evolved into an... what was that? Graham quickly flicked his Pokedex open to get the data on it. An Espeon? Oh, it was a Psychic cat. That was cool. Lucius continued to dig. What would he find now? Oh, he found something! With a yowl, he got Graham's attention. "What is it? What did you find? Is that... holy crap is that a fossil?! Wow! Good job Lucius!" the boy said with a grin, hugging the lion before he helped the Pokemon free the fossil. He ran the Pokedex over it to see what kind it was. A Root Fossil. Huh... With the fossil bagged, he turned to watch Chael walk off to go back to whatever he was doing before he came here. "Bye!" he said, waving him off. Lucius went back to digging, so Graham dusted his pant sleeves off before he went back to helping Kippers get used to walking. Hmm... if he got enough items from here, he could go to the mart in Blyse City and stock up on supplies, since he doubted he would be back around here for a while anyway. With another yowl, Graham turned to see what Lucius had dug up. It was a Water Stone. Oh, cool, now he could evolve Miror B after it learned some more moves. Just a few more stones and he would have the entire collection. Okay, this would probably be the last dig for him for a while. Graham's bag was starting to get heavy, so it would probably be best to decide what he was and wasn't going to hold on to. He was definitely going to keep the Dawn and Water Stones to evolve his team later on, and the Root Fossil too. He would probably hold onto the Reaper Cloth as well, in case he ever ran into a Duskull. They made good allies, with their pure Ghost-typing, didn't they? They were also from his home region, so having something else from home would make him feel less (hopefully) homesick. He would have to call his family later today to tell them the news about his first gym battle. So that left... four, maybe five items, depending on what Lucius would dig up now, to trade to the Pokemart. Would the lion find anything? He couldn't wait. Sure enough, there was another yowl from Lucius. Graham hurried over to see what the lion would find and blinked. Another... Root Fossil? "Wow, Lucius. You really are one lucky lion!" he said with a grin, helping unearth the ancient relic to bag. ((Two fossils in one day. Goddamn what is up with the odds of getting the same number? Lucius continued to dig. He was keen on finding lots more cool things to please Graham so he could get more pets. Graham sighed, seeing the lion's determination, and decided he could stick around a little longer. It didn't look like Gage or Kiera were going to move anytime soon. This would also give Kippers more time to get used to walking on just his hind legs. He had to admit that the Water-type had spent too much time on his head or on all four of his legs that it was tough seeing the Marshtomp walk around. So he got up and took the Pokemon by the hand to walk with him so that he could gain more confidence, which was the best thing Kippers could get right now. Lucius found another Dawn Stone. Lucius continued to dig, leaving Graham to wonder why the lion liked to dig so much. It wasn't like he was a dog or anything. He was a lion. Well, whatever. If he liked to dig, there wasn't anything he could do to change that. Kippers seemed to becoming more confident walking though. Lucius yowled again, signalling he found something. Graham walked with Kippers over there to see what it was, and it was... another fossil. Holy crap. What was with Lucius finding all these fossils? Okay, this really was going to be the last dig for them for a while. Kippers was getting tired, and it looked like Lucius was tiring out too. Yeah. They needed to head back to Blyse City for healing and to revive those fossils, maybe get some new Pokeballs for the road too. Lucius found a Electrizer. He had not Electabuzz, so it was no use to him. He supposed he could sell it. And with that, he had enough items to trade. Max wandered away from the group, which he tends to do rather often, and head for the ruins. He remembered one of his tasks was to get some items for his pokemon to use in battle. He passed though the routes rather quickly and got to the gate. "Hello, sir. I am Max from the elite four. Please let me in." Max flashed his id and went into the site and immediately started digging.

Max uncovered a Magmarizer among the ruins. The red shine of the heated core had caught his eye. Max placed the Magmarizer into his pack. Then, He dove back into the dust and started excavating more.
