Saeslin:

-the idea for Saeslin actually came to me in a dream more than three years ago. His story has stayed pretty much the same as it was in the dream. Rich, lonely inventor who lost his wife to suicide. The whole back story about Aubrelaine was all explained in the dream.

-Saeslin comes from the same setting as Angela, Seth and the others, but from a different location. His story is also unrelated to theirs.

-the first place I RPed Saeslin was WINGS, which was very much an exploration of this very 2D character I had a few paragraphs written up on. But in the end, he turned out much more adjusted and less sad in WINGS owing to several events that have helped him move past Aubrelaine's death.

-Saeslin has never really been meant to be a romance oriented man because he's so caught up in his past. For the most part, in RPs outside of WINGS, I don't see him capable of falling in love. If it happened, it would likely take a long time. I can really only see him in a successful relationship with a very specific type of woman. It's pretty hard to find characters that match up.

-originally Saeslin was an orphan with no living family, but I eventually gave him a slightly crazy brother, Silas. The two brothers are very different, but at the same time share some striking similarities. Both are obsessed with death and keeping people from dying, but kind of go down different paths toward this end.

-Saeslin has always been meant to be slightly creepy and obsessive (though not in a dangerous way) so he has this slightly Doctor Frankenstein side of him where he'll do just about anything to get Aubrelaine back.

-I've always seen him as a slightly selfish person despite all the generous things he does. I think he helps people for slightly more selfish motives than even he realizes.



Ihsan:

-To be honest, he was inspired by an avatar I made. =B

-Because he's a Djinn, i wanted to be sure that his actions are a little off from what might be expected, were he Human. His morals, his code of honor, his actions and opinions are all kind of contradictory. But he thinks they're perfectly logical.

-His love of books wasn't something I really considered when I made the character but as I was RPing him, I realized he would absolutely adore reading.

-It's taken a while to find Ihsan's voice because he tends to slip into speaking like Saeslin or Sethrian, but I dont' want him to sound that formal.

-Like with Tshila, I did a lot of research on Djinns in general for Ihsan's creation but I toned down his powers for Rosentale to keep him from being overpowered.

Carrie Borden:

- By far one of my oldest characters.

- Originally designed for some sort of horror themed webcomic that I was going to make when I was twelve or so. That didn't happen, and she developed into something else.

- Named after the famous book "Carrie" by Stephen King, and Lizzie Borden (horror stuff. Yeah)

- Carrie has always had a penchant for getting into trouble, no matter how little she wants it.

- She has played the violin for as long as I can remember.

- My goal for Carrie was to make her ordinary. She was no secret special princess, and never developed powers, and she must struggle with her own normal strength (along with Grimm's ridiculously mad skills) to live.


Morgan/Grimm:

- He is my first original character. He literally just popped into my head one day and he grew from there. Carrie spawned from him

- He is a reaper. he's undead, all that jazz.

- He used to be a lighthearted redhead. He was super laid back and funny and all that... and then I for some reason had a rough time with his character. I didn't really use him for years.

- When his story started to become less silly and have depth, he was supposed to actually die, then come back as a villain.

- One night, I had a nightmare, and it was very vivid. Lots of murder/torture/execution by lynching... that kind of stuff. It was an old western, and Carrie was there, as well as this dark haired young man with golden eyes, who dragged Carrie into a pile of shenanigans. I realized after I woke up that it was Grimm.

- He is now an a*****e and total manwhore who likes brothels very much in his western stories.

- He also now prefers pistols over his old scythe.

- His whole... ability to decay thing has never left. I don't mind. It's a neat trait of his.


Alec Walker

- I wanted to make a Canadian nerdy sweetheart, and Alec came into existence.

- I don't know how, but he started to develop these ladies-man characteristics despite having terrible luck with women. In most cases, it's usually caused by supernatural things.

- He is significantly more passionate about his work than he is about much else.

- Somehow, he became one of my more popular characters in terms of others talking to him. Perhaps he is doing something right. I don't know.
