Well certainly it can't be the next Halo, looking at it telepathic roots, but certainly it'll revolutionize the FPS genre. So far the movies I've seen look kickass, I can't wait to play it.

This game is defintely going to be good and I am looking forward to it.
But I really cannot seeing this being on the level of Halo. It will be good, but somehow I cannot see this being as amazing as Halo is.
Good, yes. Halo good, doubtful.
That said, I really hope my outlook on this game ends up being proven wrong.

Good points, as I don't really believe that it will outrun Halo, per say, I just believe that the Gamecube definitely needs its own FPS, whereas the Xbox has Halo, and the PS2 has Killzone.

This game will not dethrone Halo, for the following reasons:
-Lots more hype for Halo.
-More Xbox owners than Cube owners.
-Xbox Live vs. Nintendo's Online Plan (Phantasy Star, anyone?)
Now don't get me wrong, my heart belongs to Nintendo, and I don't support Microsoft, but logically, Halo is the king of the FPS's.

Without a great online system, Geist has no chance of even touching the popularity that Halo has accumulated. Though it WILL be a great game, it's just no Halo.

I didn't really care for Halo. I didn't think it was that great of a game. Way overhyped, if you ask me.
I'm not a big fan of online play either, so that didn't catch my attention.
I'll probably get this game. It's looking really good.
And I don't think Halo is the King of FPSs. If anything, it would be HalfLife.

...It couldn't possibly. I haven't even heard of that game. If anything on gamecube comes close/beats halo, it will either be the new Zelda or Resident Evil 4.

It'll be good. Will it sell as much as Halo? Definately not. Even though I'm not a big fan of Halo, but Halo has had FAR more hype than Geist. In this business Hype=sales. Not too many people know of Geist.
