X What to Know About Silent:
- I'm friendly and am not out to get you, and I definitely don't hate you. If you've gotten an HR letter from me, please don't be afraid to talk to me afterwards--I'm only scary when it's official guild business!
- I am female and twenty-two years old.
- I'm in university, currently carrying a combined Sciences and Honours English courseload (last year please God oh please). So sometimes I may be kind of slow on roleplays when I realize that I have five essays and three tests in the next week and I have nothing done for any of them, or if I'm just brain-dead.
- I'm far more responsible on Gaia than I am in real life. It's a little embarrassing.
- I swear. A lot. It tends to work its way into my typing. If that bothers you even though you have the little censor thing on, as I'm sure you would if it bothers you, let me know and I'll try to tone it down. (If it bothers you and you do NOT have the little censor thing on, put the little censor thing on. I am happy to give you directions to it.) Oh, also, I can be kinda sarcastic. Don’t worry, I don’t usually mean anything by it.
- I'm a stickler for correct grammar and spelling. This does not mean I am nasty about it - if you have poor spelling or grammar, don't be afraid of me! I won't correct you unless you specifically ask for correction or put [sp?] beside a word. However, I'm quite a**l about my own posts, and I've been known to correct posts that are months old if I happen to notice that I made a typo.
- I love animals. I'll talk often about my pets, my jobs that involve pets, or the horses at stables that I ride at/work at. This is entirely normal. If you aren't interested, just ignore me until I change the subject.
- I love to roleplay, although my response times have slowed from my heyday a few years ago. Mostly because I'm older now, have real-life obligations, and actually tend to put some thought into my posts these days.

X Silent's Job Description:
As previously mentioned, I am the Head of Human Resources, a department which currently consists of…just me [/foreveralone]. As the sole member of Human Resources, I do most paperwork-related things. This includes some fun stuff – I write the Newsletter and send out messages to members of the guild, for example – and some not-fun stuff – I’m the one who sends out the monthly reminders to inactive members. (By the way, if you get one of those, not to worry! Just either come post in the guild or send me a quick PM explaining your circumstances, and I will be more than happy to work with you to figure out an alternate solution.) I’m also the one who handles any TOS violations, difficulties between members, and any other issues brought to my attention by guild members or crew.
As a Vice Captain, my job is to keep an eye on things around the guild. I make sure that guild threads are kept up-to-date, that we get infusions of new roleplayers through invitations and accepting requests, that people are having fun, and that everyone stays active.
And finally, my job as Captain’s Assistant. As Captain’s Assistant, I’m something of a relay station – if concerns are brought to my attention that are not under my jurisdiction, I bring them to the Captain’s attention. I will often send out guild announcements about contests, prizes and other such things. I will also take on a number of other, smaller tasks as requested by the Captain. Though I also technically keep an eye on crew members, it’s more likely that you would want to speak to the Head of that crew member’s department (minus infinity, Head of Moderators; LovetoCauseMayhem, Head of Planning) if you have concerns.

I'm not very regular in my hours because of my course schedule. Things will change from one semester to another. But I do check in at least once every day unless there are extenuating circumstances, such as being stuck on a plane for twelve hours while trying not to strangle some idiot on the ground who thinks an inch of snow is a reason to hold up a plane...*grumblegrumble*
ANYWAY. My point is that I'm on almost every day at least once, and often more than once.
So without further ado, my schedule for this year (on Pacific time, chillunz):
September to December 2014
Monday: Online before 11:00, again between 1:00-2:30, and any time after 4:00
Tuesday: Online between 9:30 and 11:30 and any time after 12:30
Wednesday: Online between 9:30 and 11:30, and any time after 12:30
Thursday: Online before 11:00 and any time after 4:00
Friday: Online between 9:30 and 11:30, and any time after 12:30
Saturday: On and off all day
Sunday: On and off all day
Christmas Break
On and off all day. All day. I mean, aside from family and friend obligations, but there aren’t set times for that kind of thing. Let’s make a deal: I won’t expect you guys around on Christmas Day if you’ll make sure to not expect me around on Christmas Day. ;P
I will probably be working this Christmas again. I don't know how this keeps happening, but it does.
January to April 2015
Monday: Any time before 2:30, any time after 5:30
Tuesday: Between 12:30 and 4:30, any time after 6:30
Wednesday: Any time after 12:30
Thursday: Any time before 4:30, any time after 5:30
Friday: Any time after 12:30
Saturday: On and off all day

(Please note that this is not a guarantee that I will ALWAYS be on at these times. These are just times that I might be online. If I have exams or a lot of homework, these time windows will shorten considerably. Also, please guys, if you see me online in a time period not mentioned above, do not try to contact me, because chances are that I'm just checking in briefly right before class and I won't have time to talk to you. If I am on Reading Break or some other holiday, I will let you know.)

Contacting me is really easy! The best way to get ahold of me is basically any way you like. I answer PMs promptly upon receiving them and check Gaia at least twice a day; if you post in this thread, I'll probably show up there within the day to see what's going on. If you happen to be or become a personal friend of mine, you may also ask for my cell number. Though I reserve the right to refuse to give it out, I'll usually give it to friends.
Quoting me to make sure you get my attention is nice, but not really necessary. I'm on often enough that I'll probably catch it, but if you want to make absolutely sure that I see whatever it is you want me to see, go ahead and quote me.
Please note that though I do check the guild mule for messages, that account is shared and it is not the one I check daily. I only check it every five days (i.e. the 1st, the 5th, the 10th and so on). If you need to talk to me sooner for whatever reason, particularly if it has to do with a note from HR and you want to get it dealt with as soon as possible, please PM this account. This is not to say I won't get to you if you just respond to the guild mule, but it will take me quite a bit longer.
So that I can better help you, please make sure you do the following in any post you make in the thread or in any PM you send me:
- First off, be sure that I am the one you want to be talking to. If your question could be better answered by the Planning committee or one of the Moderators, please direct your question to them. (If you aren’t sure who it would go to, go ahead and send it to me – I’m kind of the catch-all.)
- If you are sending a PM, please title it with “Liteartha Baile” and either Question, Comment or Concern depending on which it is.
- If you have questions, general concerns or comments, lay them on me! Please try to be as specific as possible so that I can answer your question properly the first time instead of us playing PM tag because I misunderstood you.
- If you have a specific concern about another roleplayer or a particular incident, please lay out the exact details of the incident or issue, giving links and specifics where you can. The more information you give me, the faster I can deal with the problem.
