Character Basics Name: Marcelyn Ares Doctrine Gender: Female Birthday: June 8th House: Slytherin Blood Status: Half Blood Wand: 12" 3/4' Sycamore, Dragon Heart String, Quite Bendy (Pottermore Wand, xD) Wand Hand: Left History:Marcelyn is the last child of Esme and Elvis Doctrine, and their only girl. She was born in a muggle hospital and raised with muggle and wizard ways alike just in case she turned out to be one or the other. She first started showing her first signs of magic use when she was seven and began throwing a fit because Morgan had taken her water gun at a party one. She had become so angry that when she wished the water would explode in his face and it did. She had laughed after that but had gotten in trouble afterwards. She was not really spoiled but constantly called princess, beautiful, special, and several other names which make her the arrogant girl she is today. She had grown up listening to the tales of her grandfather, thinking that they were just made up stories, and used to love when he visited. As she grew older, the stories became real, and her heart yearned for her own letter to Hogwarts to come. She had been kind of sad to leave her old muggle school, but she sucked it up and took off for Hogwarts as soon as the letter smacked against her door. Her whole family was excited and were very curious to see what house she would fit in.

PERSONALITY
General:
Living with six siblings, Rococo has developed the socials skills of any well raised child. He is polite when necessessary and a demon when necessesary. He is very prone to arguing and fist fights because being the middle child meant a kid had to fend for himself. With his brawn he triumphs. Unfortunately, he isn't the smartest wand in the shop. He doesn't always think when it comes to making a move and usually gets in a lot of trouble... and drags people with him.
If confronted by a teacher, Rococo's defense is to become cocky or talkative, a loudmouth that should learn to shut up. He tries to be a good kid, defending his fellow Gryffindors and friends like they were his own family. His main problem is the disgust he holds for most, if not all, Slytherin. It really isn't his fault because Rococo can be very, very easily influenced. His older siblings and grandparents always told their horrible memories, exaggerating on occasion. He just grew a grudge before ever meeting one. Sometimes, when he can't help it. He will get the urge to start fights with them or bully them.
When Rococo loses a fight he will most likely pout on the inside while puffing out his chest on the outside. He has too much pride and it sometimes gets in the way of his sense of right and wrong. He tries to justify his actions by doing something reckless in front of his peers hoping they'll forget about his screw up. He can hardly lie unless it is something really serious or he is telling one of his "famous tales", his face will usually look weird when he is trying.
Habits: He blinks a lot when nervous. He absentmindedly starts counting everything when he is bored or spaced out.
Hobbies: Rococo enjoys playing cards, talking, and reading books about dueling.
Likes: Rococo likes talking, telling tales, lie or truth, sugary foods and drinks.
Dislikes: He dislikes failing or losing, getting caught in a lie and when someone messes with his friends and family.
FAMILY
Mother: Aubrey Marie Hatley Galeleo is the pure blood adopted mother of Rococo and comes from a long line of Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. Members of her family have been attending Hogwarts since the very start, and she wishes to have it continue the "tradition" with her children and theirs. She fell madly in love with Lester when Lester had seen his sister off at the train station. Thinking their relationship no more than a crush she didn't expect to marry and have children. She is currently 45 and pregnant with her eighth child since her family is surprisingly fertile.
Father: William Jes Geleleo is the adopted muggle father of Rococo and comes from a muggle-born mother and a half blood father. Only his younger sister has been to Hogwarts, but he met and fell in love with Aubrey at the train station and wrote letters until they could truly be together. Unfortunately, his muggle ancestry got the better of him and he developed schizophrenia. He and Aubrey love each other and their children dearly. He is 47.
Siblings: Emily, Elise and Ella are Rococo's triplet younger sisters. They are only five but show the occasional sign of magic. They have a difficult time getting along with each other and the rest of their siblings, adjusting to living in a home with many people in it.
Joey and Daniel are Rococo's older brothers. Joey is in his seventh year while Daniel is already out of Hogwarts. Both are very close to each other and are protective over their family. Joey is hoping to become a professional quidditch player one day while Daniel travels the world collecting odd and magical items for fun. Joey is a Ravenclaw while Daniel was a Gryffindor.
Melissa is Rococo's eldest sibling had turned out to be muggle-born. She is Rococo's real mother but didn't want him at the age of fifteen when she had him so it is thought that she is his sister. She had graduated and moved out a while ago to become an actress and to get away from Rococo. She writes but otherwise has no other contact with her family. She feels like she and her dad are alienated in a family of magic users. Nothing is known of who Rococo's real father is as Melissa claims she has no recollection of who it could be.
Extended Family: Elmira Lira Delacourt Hatley is Rococo's grandmother on his mother's side. She is a true Gryffindor proud of her house. Unfortunately she has recently been widowed and in a state of hysteria or delirium conspires that Slytherins were involved in his death. Currently living with her daughter. She is 71.
Douglas Lew Hatley is Rococo's deceased pureblood grandfather on his mother's side. He was an intelligent and proud Ravenclaw. He died from old age a happy man that had always loved Elmira. He died at the age of 78.
Lavender Olive Duke is the muggle-born grandmother of Rococo on his father's side. She is a retired veterinarian at the age of 84. She is no longer married to Harley with whom she had her two children with. She is married to a muggle named Devon Hecksly Duke.
Harley Gunner Galeleo is the half-blood grandfather of Rococo on his father's side. He is a retired member of the Ministry of Magic and lives in America with his second wife Lorelai, a pureblood. He is 85 and is very proud of of his grandchildren.
Various aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides of the family that Rococo barely knows about.
Relationship with Family: Rococo has strong and weak ties to his family. Being the middle child often makes him feel forgotten, so he sometimes wishes he was an only child. When his siblings are in trouble he comes to their rescue by fighting for them or trying to lie for them. He loves his mother and father dearly and hardly ever says bad things about either. He has healthy relationships with all of his grandparents including the new additions.
HISTORY
General History:
Rococo was born on July Fourth just as the fireworks were set off. Melissa claims she was drunk and doesn't know who the father is. Unfortunately she didn't want Rococo, and Aubrey and William decided to adopt him when he was born. Very little people know that he had been adopted but some say it can be seen just by the odd color of his hair not matching any other member of his family.
All of the children, up until it was time to go to Hogwarts, were home schooled in Muggle and Magic knowledge.
Rococo learned he was a young wizard at the age of nine when he accidentally turned Emily's hair green for a week. He wasn't expected to be a wizard because of his family situation but the family celebrated nonetheless. He had another experience at a park when he got so mad at his one friend that he turned the kid's skin a different color. From then on he avoided getting in trouble by trying to keep his anger in check.
On his eleventh birthday, Rococo got his letter for Hogwarts. He and his sister accidentally blew it up with some fireworks they weren't meant to play with. To protect his sisters from getting in trouble he lied for them and took the blame. He was almost threatened that he wasn't going to Hogwarts, but his parents decided against it and sent him anyway.
MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting:
Feeling nervously excited, Rococo waited for his name to be called. He had hoped that he would be a Gryffindor, because he knew he wasn't quite intelligent enough to be a Ravenclaw like his grandfather. As many students went before him and were sorted in a four houses, he felt an awful feeling like he may be sorted into Hufflepuff or worse, Slytherin. Now he felt sick to his stomach.
"Rococo Galeleo!" called the announcer.
Rococo took careful steps up to the sorting hat. He was confident Gryffindor would be chosen for him, but the other houses were completely possible. Playing with the hem of his sleeve, he waited for the hat to be placed on his. Breathing slightly uneven he felt the hat touch his head. The hat began making noises of debate that weren't quite understandable.
The hat shouted, without a doubt in his tone, "Gryffindor!" The students seated at the Gryffindor table shouted and clapped their excitement. Rococo smiled a bright and happy smile when as he walked down to the table to be united with his new housemates proud of himself.
Boggart: Rococo's boggart would definitely be a fire lizard. He is terrified of them because he watched his uncle be burned and killed by one when he was younger. He'll have nightmares of them and wake of screaming.
Mirror of Erised: Rococo would be a dueling champion in the Mirror of Erised. He has always wanted to become a master duelist and make his family proud of him.
EXTRA CREDIT
Patronus: Rococo's patronus would be a stag, because even though he has his slip ups, his bravery and strength is always with him. He isn't quite selfless but he tries to be when it comes to those closest to him such as family, friends and housemates.
Greatest Treasure: His greatest treasure is then the frozen spider his dead grandfather gave him right before he died. The spider is attached to a chain, so he can wear it as a necklace. Rococo sometimes swears he hears his grandfather speaking to him when he wears it, so he keeps it close to him at all times.
Manner of Dress: Usually one not to conform to the "norm", Rococo usually dresses casually or in whatever he pulls from the closet or trunk. His favorite colors to wear are orange, green or purple but he'll make anything. His clothes are usually a little over sized when he feels lazy or prim and proper when he is feeling nice.
Favorite Class: Rococo's favorite and best class is transfiguration because he loves to watch things transform.
Worst Class: Rococo's worst class is potions, because he can't quite get the measurements right or usually just gets frustrated.
