A cousin of mine wanted to share something with me about the "Obamacare" Healthcare law. According to a write up of top of the forcing the American population to buy healthcare, it is also going to force them to have microchips implanted in their skin
http://beforeitsnews.com/story/665/502/Hidden_Obamacare_Secret:_RFID_Chip_Implants_Mandatory_for_All_by_March_23,_2013.html
She is also claiming that the UN, has a plan to take over the world. which would line up with the insanities of Rev 13 and Daniel... I forget the chapter and verse.
Just wanted to know your guys thoughts

Sounds like a lot of Obama paranoia to be honest. Bunch of unsupported conspiracy theory crap.

personally, I don't care if it is conspiracy or truth, if it is true than I am as ready as I can be. Though, is there any proof of Roman empire using marks? To force the market goes to a select group of people?
All I can find are merchant marks, with only apply to those trying to sell their art. Kind of like a trademark.

The mark of the beast from what little I know is supposed to be the image of Nero on the coins. It being put on the forehead or arm was a metaphor for having allegiance to Rome instead of God.

The end of days is every day... no joke intended with the sun rising and setting. Jesus did tell everyone to never wait for it, but always expect it. I forgot the exact words though.
But I honestly despise any kind of "end of the world" predictions... No man can, and it's been proven many times over...

Actually... the 'end-time' prophesies were something I used to really get into, before I realized that they were causing me more upset than they were bringing me peace...
But in learning what so many different scholars had to say about it... I am convinced that Revelations is a deeper writing than what most hold it to be, and my personal belief is that it holds meaning about the past and the future... but I must stress it is MY PERSONAL belief....
There are many instances in Revelation that line up so well with Rome/Nero, but there are some other things that don't quite fit that time either...
I would also like to say that I think it smart of your cousin to be wary... although finger pointing specific political heads of government is counter-intuitive...
There has been a somewhat background movement by government in testing chips... Everyone is aware of the animal chipping done so if you lose your pet you can find it... It is mandatory on animals adopted from government funded shelters, and the company that is contracted by the government for such cases has had their research funded by federal bids...
Yet this all started back around 1998 with the Clinton administration, and a movement to put transponder-like devices in cell-phones to allow specific individual units to be identified based on their signal... A technology that was already known, and pushed by phone companies... But many people were against the intrusion... The legislation started passing on state levels as part of the 911 emergency systems, and I don't know if Bill ever got to actually sign anything when it was all said and done.
Also, Bush signed legislation in '08 that would lay the ground-work for criminals to be chipped, once the technology was proof enough for things to matter, and that legislation also laid the ground-work for civilians later to be chipped with their unchanging life-time information, such as SSNs and family histories... But these were ground-work legislation, not the actual done deals...
In 2010, certain high-security prisons participated in chip-plants on certain prisoners, as tests, in accordance to the legislation Bush passed... As far as I know, the prisoners were compensated for participating, and they were consensual to the implants... I haven't looked into it since though.
Yet at the moment, all actual laws passed in the US regarding chips in humans make it illegal for any organization to require their use, and protect people form being forced to use a chip.
The UN has been looking into such technology as well... I read about it being a means to promote humanitarianism. They hope to use it as a means to combat atrocities such as human trafficking, or as a means of medical recording in third world countries where individuals aren't likely, or capable of keeping up with their own histories...
Chip technology is at the moment still very limited to holding information, and not actually capable of producing a red dot on a screen half-way across the globe that allows someone to locate the position of someone by the push of a button... So, at least rest easy with that.
Yet...The thing is... We are already carrying around the technology that most Christians are afraid of... At the moment, we have the ability to cast it off if we choose to... IF the day comes where we are required to submit to being 'chipped' as a means of big-brother knowing our every move, and we submit willingly, we give away our freedom, and essentially our free-will...
I don't think the idea is very far-fetched... It's just a matter of time before someone comes up with a chip that will last more than 10 years under a living organism's skin (without causing cancer)... and it's only a matter of time before the UN has been granted enough leeway to do what it wants from the governments who support it... And the UN has shown in it's attitudes that they are not above forcing the populace to do what they feel must be done 'for the greater good'...
...But that all being said....
It is important to keep your eyes open at what is going on around you, and read between the lines whether you know about prophesy or not...
It is also important to check yourself when you get into prophesies... If they inspire more fear than peace, then you probably aren't ready for them...
If you really MUST get into their study, for curiosity sake, or by conviction, read it in small doses. Be sure to get into a peaceful state of mind before you study, and allow time to meditate on God when you are done... Otherwise you might start to feel a bit paranoid...
You might want to pass that last bit along to your cousin.

Just a widdle bit curious here. How does the government tracking your location, and information (which they usually have on you anyway) equate to giving up free will, etc? I'd still do everything I want to. Maybe it's because I already tell them every little things I'm doing on a day to day basis. But in the back brief, it is always ariented around safety. Alcohol and safety related incidents on the weekend and holidays have dropped more than 20% in our unit alone since people started writing everything they are doing down and where they will be. Then we identify who will be at risk.
It goes like this...
Johnny claims to be going to the bar this weekend with friends. We identify which friends he will be going with and we ID who the designated driver will be. The designated driver MUST be someone in the unit. That way if they fail to do their job, we can be like "You screwed up!" And... demotion/punishment, etc. I suppose something about this sytem seems intrusive in much the same way as the argument against the chip goes. And there is no real law keeping Johnny from just going out with whom he feels like, but we put a lot of emphasis on it. Suddenly everyone that is going out with Johnny realizes they have been identified and people tend to act less stupid. At least the designated driver doesn't want to play around. Around here we go after a DD that failed to do tehir part just as much as anyone else.
And say Sara plans on cooking this weekend. We will ask what she plans to cook and how. Say we do (and we often have) find out that Sara will be using a broiler for the first time in here life. BAM! We pull up the slide and safety class for how to properly operate a broiler and make sure Sara knows how to solve any problems that may arise.
At least from where I work the standpoit is stricly education and safety.
Say Meliisa doesn't come back to work after the weekend. She's a single woman that lives by herself. No one where she was and no one saw her this weekend. But.... we made her tell us where she would be and what she would be doing! Her claim states she will be alone in a motel on (insert address here). So we send a dispatch team there and find Sara passed out drunk on the floor. She is in a life-threatening situation.
All three of these things have actually happened here. So I know it works to save lives and prevent serious problems. So maybe if people know their activities are being tracked and monitored, there shouldn't be any reason to feel bad about doing anything that's normal or healthy. I go hiking, biking, to the movies, the library, etc. And having them know it all doesn't feel like it impedes on my freedom one bit. Now that being said, I'd gladly listen to anything you all have to share on this matter, as I may be overlooking certain critical factors.
I just wanted to throw some of my own experience and two cents in here :3

We've missed you! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!? And is everything alright? heart You can still live life... but at any time you become a nuisance as the government judges, you won't have much of a way to fight them... I mean, if it comes time to stand up to the government, and they already have monitored all of your actions to that point, they can find you in a second and stop you before you start... And at one time, I would have been skeptical, until the bank informed me that I was on the Government's terror watch list so they couldn't give me a savings account... It took me 4 years of writing letters and talking to all the institutions I ever had credit with (not many really) and making phone calls to finally be able to have my name on bank accounts again... It was hell! And even now, I know I am still on the list, but I only have a partial reason why... and I don't have any criminal record, or any other reason that I can think of that I was even put on the list in the first place! Anyway... a tracking chip wouldn't kill free-will, the government controlling it would.

At that point we would have set ourselves up for failure. I think perhaps the way we do it now works best. Sure, some people will lie about they are doing on paper, but for the most part it works. And yes, it would allow an extreme tactical advantage to the government in the instance you mentioned. It would be very difficult. Certainly something to keep in mind.

My cousin is an atheist, it is I that drew the lines back to scripture, and I that took the repercussions for telling her and her friends so. [I was just trying to point out, that what she keeps on posting has been talked about before] She is more of the free will, little government big ME. If a church does something wrong she posts it, and rants about it. Same goes for circumcision, child punishments... I could list of a thousand other things... But, I would be taking us off the topic. The end times prophesies were at one point in time, the dateless nights in middle/high school, was something I got into as well. Taking different parts of the bible, I also drew the conclusion that things didn't match up with the Roman empire, but match up more to the UN and modern times. So you not along on that thought. Though, I never got paranoid...

I DID get to the point where I was combing the news JUST BECAUSE I didn't want to miss something that might be prophesied. I held the motives of every action of any corporate and government agency in suspect, like they were in league with the anti-Christ himself... Luckily this mindset only wasted a couple years of my life, but for those 2 years, I was a slightly more attractive version of the adult-living-with-mom-conspiracy-theorists that get made fun of on TV. Anyway... That is actually how I got so interested in politics... It also took me pretty far into numerology as well. Not to say that I don't believe in conspiracies now... but I pretty much just try to pay attention to what really matters, and what I can actually make a difference in, or that actually matters in my own life. I still like to go through Revelations, and Daniel's dreams, a bit of Isaiah, and so forth, from time to time... but I don't let it consume my interests anymore...

Yea, I stayed away from the news.... and still do. Mostly, because I hate the news. It is too basis(sp). Every day it is this person died... or this thing is bad for you... this company screwed over it's employees... this politician had an affair with his secretary... or my favorite, the thing we said is bad for you, turns out to be good for you! Revolving around Bible verses, I keep one in mind. Matthew 24:44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Though, it did take me into looking for “signs” else where. The Mayan calender, Nostradamus' writings, the Bible code, and some others. I thought, that if God put clues of the end times in the bible, then what could stop him from putting it in other locations. And if that was so, then I could be that much closer to understanding God. I still got nothing, and wasted a number of years sweatdrop

I got sucked into the end of the world stuff back when I was younger. I was a Y2K'er. It causes more problems then it helps.
If anything, each day is a new world to us. If the past is behind us and the new is in front of us, then what are we going to do in our new world? How do we make our new world better, one day at a time?
