I guess the events in this roleplay are taking place around 1996~1997 or so....
From what I knew,the original story in the manga ends during 1993~1994 approximatively...
I didn't read anywhere what year it was supposed to be when the manga first started... usually the mangaka draws a manga that he imagines takes place in the present (usually same year in which the author is when he was drawing ).
So we can assume the story begins around 1990.
After that comes Yusuke's revival /Genkai's tournament-training (can't remember exactly how long that lasted,but a few months for sure), then comes the saint beasts saga (that was probably 1-2 days long) , rescuing Yukina (that too about 2-3 days long), dark tournament (..That lasted probably for a week or two )..then the Sensui ark...hmm...that one I couldn't follow with too much attention...so I'm not sure how long that one took... (probably around a few days/weeks as well).
The comes the 3 kings saga that lasted for 2~3 years.
Some sources say it lasted 3 years,while in the anime,during the last episode, Kuwabara mentions that Keiko had waited for Yusuke for 2 years...so that is a little confusing...
So,with all those put together..it would result the last episode/chapter took place around mid 1993~1994.
Adding the 3 years gap between 2 tournaments would result,the events in our current roleplay take place in 1996~1997 or so.....
Hmm.......so I guess no Ipods and Ipads for our OCs neutral
