Before Tim had a chance to look at the note, his attention was drawn to Crystal's history, and soon enough the consciousness of Arell. Robin stood as Dr. Dorian joined the group that had formed outside the building, and some pressing problems were straightening themselves out very quickly; so Crystal didn't have to stay... and it turned out there was no need to fight. At all. This boded well for the bird. Tim looked down again at the note in his hands and blinked, before he shortly looked up at Arell and held out the paper toward him.
"Er... sorry. Curiosity got the better of me. I didn't read it, if that counts for anything."
Seriously, what was that about? Tim had no real reason to pick out the paper like he did... it was a kind of spur of the moment thing. Maybe he wasn't as well rested as he thought?

"Thanks . . . in our line a' work, ya can't be too careful." Arell said, he took the envelope back and stuffed it into his jacket pocket. This was something he would have to give to Crystal later. Or if there was something (heaven forbid) that happened to the Cajun . . . that was worse than Abby kicking the swamper in the Daddy-bags.

Tygrus looked to Abby. "Well he was acting horribly to you and your friends, and even still you've been nice to me."
Crystal just got up and started walking slowly towards the boat. She'd had enough of this miss-adventure, followed by Artemis.
"Are we going or are you three just going to stand there like bumps on logs?" The cat asked the others.
Tygrus looked at the two walking away. "I'll accompany you to the shore."

Arell had made a class-a fool of himself for nothing. Aggravated, he went straight for the water, taking off his coat (with the letter) and placing it on the boat before looking back. "I'll meet y'all there." Arell growled, and dove for the water, almost half-way through the transformation before he hit the water. The twenty-foot gator needed some time away from the other humans for a while. At least until he got his s**t together.
When the big Cajun hit the waves, he let his transformation take over, letting the gator side of Arell take over. Despite Crystal being safe, somehow the big Cajun still thought that the mission was undoubtedly a failure. Namely 'cause he originally was gonna come alone. Then again, bad things seemed to happen when he brought people along places.

Robin followed the others with a sigh; the tension from the group was impossible to ignore. After he pulled the hoodie down from his head (but kept the mask across his eyes) Tim looked to Crystal.
"Maybe rest is the best thing for you when we get back...?"
He didn't know much about this particular field of science, but he didn't have to be a whiz in it to see she needed that.

Abby frowned at Tygrus, and followed him, going over to Tim.
"I didn't screw this up, did I?" she asked him, still frowning. "I mean, I've been wanting to kick him in the groin since we got here, but..."

Crystal flops into the boat. "Don't worry about that chickey. I think what ruined all this was Arell's over worry." As much as she loved the man she was disappointed in his actions and attitude today.
She closed her eyes and sighed. The ride home would be the only time she'd have to rest before they went out again. That's how it always was.
Tygrus smiled at Abby. "I agree with Sister. You're too sweet to ruin anyone's day."
He waited for them to board the ship before waving. "Have a safe trip home."

Tim nodded in agreement with Crystal.
"You did just fine."
He hopped into the boat and pulled out his comm to link it with the interface. After starting up the engine he looked back to Tygrus and sent a quick two-finger salute his way as a wave and thank you. Yeah.... this was only a little weird.

Abby waved goodbye to Tygrus as she clambered into the boat, sitting by herself. She was feeling rather moody at the moment.

Artemis jumped into the boat. "Let's get this show on the road... Or water as the case may be..."
Crystal started snoring as she lay back against the starboard edge of the ship.

By the time they were ready to roll, Arell was already long gone. Nothing left that he showed up there save for his jacket on the boat. Despite the mission being in his mind a failure, he covered his tracks well in getting out of town.

Tim pulled the boat away from the shore and sat after their course was set. He pulled the black hoodie off, completely revealing the Robin tunic before it was covered by the shirt he had previously left on the boat. With a final gesture, Tim took off the mask from his eyes and wiped his forehead with his arm. The ocean spray and breeze were very refreshing-- an aspect of the trip he would miss once they entered Gotham.
