Soul xxxSkimbleshanksSoul let his eyes scan the event, and wondered what that small group of Pokemon were gathering around. His thoughts went to his partner for a minute, but he shook off that idea. It was more probable that the little ice type was skulking the dark outer reaches of the room. Soul closed his eyes and gave a small bow of his head to the girl, "Hello Amelia. I am Soul, of The Instigators. My partner is some where around here." He did not bother sniffing the air to try and locate his partner, there was no reason. He was around, and little Amelia did not have to be startled by Skimble's appearance. Soul gave a quick yawn, and returned his attention to the company at hand, "I do not mean to come off as rude, but I'd really like to know what you are and where you are from. I heard a new region had been found, but I've never seen a type like you before."Skimble slouched and hunched as a small cloud of Pokemon gathered around. Skimble did not like so much attention, but kept Harumi as a center of focus. Nothing else mattered, not after such a strange reply. "Strange, strange that. I shall say no more so as not to further offend. However, I sense this young one has an entourage. And I sense that he is right over there." Skimble's claw eerily rose and loosely pointed over to Victor, without even looking. Skimble's eyes had yet to leave Harumi's. Skimble did not like Harumi's reply, it was ignorant. Skimble knew that as a royal heir priorities were on the pokemon, not one's self. It was ignorant to go without protection, not weakness. Any moment one could be caught off guard. "But he's over there. And not over here." Skimble's eyes narrowed slightly, and claws twitched, considering running one right across that little royal rogue's ear, snipping off the top. Skimble understood that would ruin any chance of getting into this royal family, unless cutting and pasting the princess' ears, tail, and neck ruffle was enough to fool the royal races.

Amelia bowed slightly at his introduction. "Nice to meet you, Soul." She replied with a slight giggle. She tilted her head slightly at his yawning, only to be taken slightly aback at his question. "Who hasn't heard of the Flaming Knights of Callmigh Bluff? She thought to herself, only to answer her own question. "That's right, I'm not on the Island anymore! I forget sometimes..." She said aloud, before answering his query. "Well, I'm a Larvesta, and I'm a Fire type, like you! Erm, you are as well, right?" She asked, tilting her head in confusion once more.

Erinn & Sereni & Rivia & Riley & Faran & Celus & Eon & Irilyss Rivia turned back around to look at her Jolteon companion with a somewhat contented nod of agreement. Yes, she had been looking at the not-shadow, the Sneasel as the Electric Type had called it. She turned her head back toward the Eevee pair on the other side of the group and blinked in some surprise. This was interesting, these Eevee certainly weren't normal by any definition of the word. Maybe that was why the not-shadow had come over to them? The Ground Type looked up at the brighter colored Eevee when she greeted them, and smile came to the young one's face as she waved a paw in greeting. Rivia turned her gaze back to the darker Eevee and the not-shadow, who seemed to be fighting about something; neither one seemed to care about the rest of them here, that was certain, although the darker Eevee did comment to the brighter one a bit. A shiver ran down the small Sandshrew's spine as she stared up at the eyes of the not-shadow. The Sneasel was giving the dark Eevee an equally dark look, like it was planning to do something not very nice. Rivia was not an easily stirred child, but this object of fascination quickly became an object of uncertainty and fear when she saw that look in his eyes. If the girl could have talked she would have said something to the dark Eevee, but, as that was not an option for the youngling, she simply let out a soft sound something like a whimper and backed up until she was pressed against her Jolteon friend's side where she promptly buried her face in his fur. He was nice, he'd protect her from the scary shadow, wouldn't he? She'd never seen anyone glare like that before, really she hadn't ever seen someone glare at all, and it frightened her.
Celus returned the Scyther's bow of the head, somewhat surprised by the Bug Type's formality. "Pleased to meet you as well Victor, or would you prefer Mister Lynch?" The Ivysaur asked politely, "As for me, just Celus is fine. I'm not used to fancy titles." The Ivysaur smiled slightly, although it was somewhat rueful as well. Back where he came from he had been in a position of power, at least, as much a position of power as existed in that place. Even there though no one referred to him with such formality, and while the respect was nice he felt a little uncomfortable with it: he wasn't above anyone here, just another member of the Guilds like all the rest. "Ah well, we do all have our young miscreants of the group," Celus commented agreeably, his eyes trailing to where Faran appeared to be pestering Riley about something or another. Really the boy never did learn. And little Rivia too was always wandering off to poke her nose into things that she shouldn't, Sereni was looking after her now but he wouldn't be surprised if a very distressed looking Lanturn was seen at some point throughout the party. The thought caused him to chuckle slightly, "Kids can be quite the handful sometimes," he added as an afterthought. But then again, he thought with a smile, sometimes adults were just as bad.
Irilyss blinked with some surprise as the Larvitar questioned her idle entertainment. This was new, she didn't often receive questions about her peculiarities. She regarded the other Pokemon with some interest as his attention strayed, and took note of his odd action as well; it would seem that they shared something in common in that respect. Despite her notice of it, the expression on the Gardevoir's face did not change, as if she'd missed the action completely. She entertained a thought for a moment before acting on it. "Would you be interested in trading questions?" she asked him, nodding to the scar that she had previously glossed over, "Or would you prefer to keep your secrets?" She allowed the question to linger for just a moment before continuing regardless of receiving an answer or not. "The hearts intrigued me; Valentine's Day itself sparks my curiosity. I've never celebrated such a holiday before you see, to celebrate a feeling rather than an event. There are usually reasons for holidays, someone did something at some time in the past and we've found it worth remembering-worth celebrating even, but with this holiday it's different. It would be the same as saying I feel happy today and so I declare this day a celebration of happiness to be held on this day. What's the reasoning behind it?" Her question trailed off as she looked back over at the hearts on the wall with idle curiosity. It seemed just an excuse for celebration to Irilyss which, while it was all well and good to celebrate, was an odd thing to consider nonetheless.

Alex's expression shifted for a brief moment, it changing to one of surprise at her question. Quickly regaining his composure, he nodded at her first query. "Trading questions sounds perfectly fair." He replied with a nod, continuing listening to her. Not sure if her last question was rhetorical or not, he did his best to answer. "I never thought of it that way before... Though I suppose it's as my master would say: Great men have great amounts of power. With great power comes great renown. And with great renown, comes great amounts of women... And respect. And once one gains respect, he can influence the world... And woo more women!" The larvitar recalled, frowning slightly. "For someone so wise, master WAS a bit of a lech..." he stated, absently touching his scar again.

xxx xxx Rani && Jordan && IsannaThe poochyena's sharp, blue eyes brightened. Snowpointian, the name gave it impression it was named rather bluntly. Alright, pretty language, not so pretty region name. Still, her imagination was already twirling. She had come from winter-like landscape herself, before she joined the guild. There was nothing much too it though, just simple caverns and endless ice, but what was it like there? Was it full of giant igloo structures and strange evergreen plants; Or was it a barren wasteland with nothing but snowstorms? How far was it? Did a lot of pokemon live there? Was it like the Guild of Shimmering Ice at all? So many questions rushed through her mind, but she picked out one of the biggest and most polite to start with. She let herself fall gently back to the floor and walked over with the vespiquen, jumping up and sitting in a seat close to her. "Well, before I start really asking questions... My name is Isanna from Team Serenity." As she said so, she closed her eyes and dipped her head momentarily, a small bow out of respect. "What is your name?"
So, this sneasel was was she saw. He turned his head back up to the pokemon, only now getting a good look. The electric-type was honestly a little surprised at first; Sure, there were a lot of - - diverse pokemon running around the guild, sneasel included, but there was something a little off about this one. He thought no disrespect, but he honestly couldn't even tell if the pokemon was a dude or a chick. The jolteon shook his head and looked away awkwardly before he caught eye-contact; he had already kinda pushed his way into the group along with the cute, little sandshrew, he didn't want to stare at some stranger, they might think he were a creep or something like that. (He still didn't catch on that was what exactly the sneasel had been doing to him not a few minutes ago.) While he was trying to be polite, it didn't seem to matter, he/she seemed to be transfixed on someone else anyways. Another eevee, he saw, with a monochrome body and golden markings. He didn't catch up on much of their conversation (Jordan wasn't really paying attention), but he could certainly pick up on the tension between the two pokemon. He glanced at the small normal-type, then back up to the ice-type, catching onto her harsh glare. It sent a chill down his spine. Looking to a pokemon like that without flinching, the eevee had some gull. His thoughts were interrupted when the small ground-type had stepped back and dug herself in his side. "Ah- Hey, hey... It's alright." he said in a small sing-song, taken a little aback, but patting on her shoulder with his paw anyways. Would that even do anything at all? Jordan didn't know, he wasn't exactly the best with children... The jolteon glanced around the room. Ack - where was her mom? "Hey there." He said to the other eevee, nothing the striking resemblance between her and her companion. He flicked his ear, what did she say her name was, Skye? "I'm sorry about barging in, this little 'gal was real curious about that sneasel." the Jolteon flicked his glance in 'his' direction and looked back down at the ground-type.

SkyeSkye winced at her sister's reply, her ear twitching nervously as she glanced back toward the Sneasel. He was odd, but strange as he was, his displeasure in her reply was very much obvious to the elder sibling. She wasn't really into picking fights as much as Harumi; it was just easier to do her best to get along with everyone. If she could avoid making enemies, she really would. It didn't matter terribly, as long as Haru was still safe, however. She would learn with experience, Skye supposed.
Her gaze flickered back to the young Sandshrew, smiling sincerely as the young Pokemon waved back at her. She was very small for her species, and clearly very young. She'd yet to speak, and she got the impression that the child was mute. Whether it was permanent, or otherwise, she would have to work around it. It was only polite that she return such a friendly greeting.
She was interrupted only by the sudden fear in the dark eyes of their newest companion, watching as the Sandshrew buried her face into the Jolteon's side. Were they... teammates? They didn't seem like it, but it was difficult to tell. She'd not seen either of the pair before, and they hadn't yet introduced themselves. Either way, the Sandshrew was frightened, and it seemed that the older, more experienced Jolteon made a nice, safe person to hide behind. If only older Pokemon were so easy to understand. There was so much going on in her own head, sometimes, that she couldn't sort one trail of thought from the next.
"It's alright, little one," she murmured in tune with the Jolteon, about as capable with children as he was. She was grasping at straws, really, but she knew a little from watching Azra and Kai. The both of them spent a lot of time with Istas, so it should be just like that, shouldn't it? She didn't touch the Sandshrew, as she was entirely aware of how very much a stranger she was to the girl, but her reassurance was still made vocal. No sing-sing voice, just calm and quiet. "Haru and her friend won't hurt you." An odd mixture of kindness and caution swirled in the depths of her eyes. One could never be too careful, really, but the Sneasel seemed to have enough restraint, and Harumi's team was just across the room. They would be fine.
As she met the Jolteon's gaze, she allowed the smile to fall, her usual calm and neutral expression returning. "Don't worry about it," she dismissed, gently waving the tip of her fluffy tail. "I'm not terribly included in this, either. I'm just here with my sister," she added, following the male's glance back down to the timid little Sandshrew. "Is she a friend of yours?"

    Harumi - Victor - Aiden - Tammet
The corner of Aiden's lips opened up a bit as the Umbreon smirked, his teeth and fangs showing. "You're easier to read than a book~" The arrogant Umbreon purred. His tail swayed from side to side as he looked up at the Mismagius. "You totally have the hots for me!" This wasn't something that was easy to read for Aiden. He simply assumed that everybody who had a brain had the hots for him. "Gay boy is gay~" He then teased.
"As you wish, Mister Celus," The obedient Scyther replied to the Ivysaur's comment about the title that Victor was referring to him as. "You may call me whatever you wish, Mister Celus." Victor gave a nod as Celus began to speak of their respective teams. "Yes, well, we are a very small team, but we have our share of troublemakers," Victor explained. He turned his head and gave a nod in the direction of Aiden, who seemed to be flirting with a Mismagius.
Harumi cocked an eyebrow as she listened to the Sneasel, her tail gently swishing from side to side behind her. "You don't have an entourage with you, either," The Eevee pointed out. "I'm not the kind of Pokemon who lets her birthright dictate how she lives. Just because I'm royal by blood doesn't mean that I have to be some sort of political princess. That's not who I am. And anybody who thinks I should act like one, well... They're just ignorant and dumb."
Tammet was only on his back for about 3 milliseconds more before he bent his body up, doing a handspring back onto his feet. He had to find out what number he had been on. Turning on his heel, he faced the Treecko he had knocked over. The Scraggy was quick to grab Eden by the shoulders and pick him up, placing the Treecko back on his feet where he belonged. Tammet squickly brushed a bit of dust off Eden's shoulder before staring at him. "Do ye' know what number I was on?" He asked, his face as serious as a socially awkward Scraggy's face could be.

Eros + Nephthys + Isis Eros just blushed a little at the easy to read part, the Mismagius then felt his face heat up even more when Aiden figured out his crush, "We-well of course I do!" He then grinned, "It isn't a secret I'm gay anyway~" He didn't think anything of it after all, "Besides, you're a good-looking guy to crush on anyway~" He finished with a sly grin.
As the Poochyena sat down next to her, Nephthys just smiled, "Ah...?" That's right they never did introduce themselves...huh, "Nice to meet you Isanna." The Vespiquen then nodded, "My name is Nephthys. I am part of Team Olympus..." It was after all polite to add it, "Vut yes...You can veel free to ask me anything, Dorogaya...After all, you are the first to ve interested in vis place after all..." If she was being honest? Nephthys felt an overwhelming sense of pride for her origins, she knew all about the land after all, though her sister Aka was a lot more knowledgeable, where was that glass like Combee anyway?
Isis meanwhile was looking over the food before nodding and grabbing a plate full of cookies, so sue her...even if they were heart shaped and pink...Isis still had a weakness for sweets, "So much pink...Hmm...Wonder who decorated this place?" She then let out a rare sigh of contentment as she bit into a cookie, so sweet~ ...Not that she would let anyone know this of course. She'd never hear the end of it. Especially if Eros found out, how was he anyway? Noticing his conversation with Aiden...was it? Yes Aiden, that seemed to be going decent, "...Pfft..." She then walked back to her book and opened it up, continuing from where she last left off as she grinned, "Oh Javier~" (( Pfft...girly Isis... ))

Erinn & Sereni & Rivia & Riley & Faran & Celus & Eon & Irilyss Rivia shivered a bit although she quieted when the Jolteon spoke to her and gave her a gentle pat on the back. It felt nice to have someone to look after her, someone who would keep the scary outside world away. That was what she'd had all her life so she wasn't particularly used to anything else, she was young enough that it wasn't quite time to stop shielding her but old enough that she was bursting with curiosity and able to act on it. That was how she always ended up away from her guardians, because she wanted to know everything but would often find out that the knowledge of everything wasn't always something that she wanted to know. For now she was content to let the older and more experienced adults watch out for her as the Jolteon and now this light Eevee were doing for her. Rivia peered up at the violet Normal Type with wide and uncertain eyes, only to be soothed somewhat by the kindness in the older girl's eyes: she was nice too, the Sandshrew could sense it. The youngling looked up at her Electric Type companion, who was watching her as well and she made a soft cooing sound, muffled and timid, as though to ask if it was really going to be okay. Cautiously, she crawled forward a bit to peek over at the bright Eevee, still clutching at the Jolteon's fur with one paw since she didn't know entirely what to think of the Normal Type just yet. As she heard the girl's last comment she nodded slowly with a shy smile, as though she knew what the Eevee was saying; whether she actually did or not was almost impossible to tell.
Celus allowed his gaze to follow Victor's and blinked in surprise at the sight of the Umbreon and Mismagius. "Well well, it looks like some of us are getting into the spirit of the holiday after all," he remarked lightly. For it being a Valentine's Day party, there wasn't a good deal of romance taking place, and it couldn't just be the Shinx that scared everyone away. No, the more likely cause was that the true romantics were spending this night alone without the presence of a crowd to draw them away from each other. "So what Team are you from, might I ask?" the Ivysaur inquired, quick to add his own information afterward to avoid being impolite. "I'm from Team MistMelody." The Scyther seemed very proper after all, and Celus didn't want to offend him. It was always better to play on the safe side when it came to formal types, some of them didn't mind but others would get offended if you didn't follow their way of speaking. "We're a fairly large Team I'd say," he added, "Our Team Leaders have been around for awhile you see, and the members just keep increasing."
Irilyss listened to the Larvitar's remark with some interest, but simply shrugged when he concluded. "Perhaps that is the case," she conceded, "Though it would be a sorry world if that were all anyone cared about. I suppose nothing is ideal though..." She trailed off and looked about the room at those present though she didn't particularly care to really process who was where. Were they all simply celebrating lust and nothing else? How ironic. Supposedly lust was an unforgivable sin in the world of the religiously devout, yet they allowed celebrations of this holiday to occur. She turned back to the Larvitar and her skirts fluttered about her as she did so. "My question then I think." The words weren't phrased as a question intentionally, so that she would be playing fair. The other question had been simply rhetorical and she hadn't gotten a definitive answer, so she didn't consider it having counted. "You have something there on your forehead," she commented lightly, too tactful to refer to it as a scar. "It seems to be bothering you quite a bit." She gave the Larvitar a sidelong look before continuing, "How did you come across such a brand?"

Lunar simply floated around. You could see he wasn't interested in small talk. Or large talk. Talking in general. Why he was like that you could only guess. However you could see he love sugar, for some reason or another. By now he had already filled a nearby trash can with different wrapping of all kinds of candy. His gaze turned to his Machop partner, Hiro. Annoying little fellow he was. Either he was playing hero, training, or eating an orange. What was with the fighting types orange obsession anyways? Even now he had eaten one right before joining in of the festivities. Well a female Ralts had caught his eye and he had started flirting with the girl, Arceus help her. At least she took the nuisance away from him for a while. He mentally sighed. Lunar felt no need to interact or mingle with those he hardly cared about. And why should he? The Duskull had no desire to be Mr. Popular.

Alex's eyes widened at the question, but he nevertheless nodded and began to speak. He HAD agreed to trade questions, and he'd been taught to never go back on his word... "Well, it's a keepsake of sorts, as odd as that may seem..." Alex started, clearing his throat a bit. "My master, you see, was a large, white Nidoking named Vincent. He lived on a mountain where he trained, fought, and generally enjoyed life. One day, while walking around, contemplating on how best to throw a boulder, he found a lone egg. My egg. He took that egg to the hot springs at the base of the mountain and incubated it in the waters, causing me to hatch." He paused for a bit, touching the scar lightly before continuing. "From that day on, he raised and trained me, teaching me about life, how to fight, and how to be what he called "A True Man". He always used to tell me stories about rescue teams, and about the adventures they had. This went on right up until m 21st birthday, when he left me a message to meet him at the peak of the mountain. I made my way there, curious and eager as to what he wanted to do there. Once I arrived, he greeted me, and told me to fight him. I refused. He asked me twelve more times, each time with me refusing. What he did next still confuses me to this day. He walked away, me thinking he left in disappointment. How wrong I was. He called my name, and I turned to see a boulder several times me size flying at me! I couldn't move in time, and was struck in the forehead, and off the side of the mountain! The last words I remember hearing were simple, but weighed much more than the implement: Come back when your stronger. I'm not sure exactly how I survived the fall, nor am I sure when I awoke, all I truly remember was a rescue team member telling me that someone put a job on the board here to rescue me, and that I was being taken back to the guild for medical treatment. After getting here, I decided to join, and voila: Here I am." He finished, looking to Irilyss for a response.

Beatrice - EmilyBeatrice sighed. "I take mine with lots of creamer. Preferably the raspberry tinted kind. It really helps to take my mind off the fact that I'm drinking back-wash." She looked around at the other party-goers. In particular, she noticed a Duskull wearing the same arm band as the Machop. With a start, she realized that she didn't even know the kind Machop's name. "OhmygoshI'msosorryI'msorudeandimpoliteIhopeyoucanforgiveme! My name is Beatrice, Beatrice Illusionchampion."Emily smirked at the Treecko's comment. She shared the same idea, although being with Beatrice for her few monthes in the guild had toned down her rudeness level to almost zero. It was still there, just... Not nearly as much snarky comments and put-downs as before. "Well, I'm glad your arm is ok. You just sort of... Had me worried for a bit, that's all." Emily slightly blushed, although it stood out like a blinding nova in a black hole amongst all of her blue fur. She felt like she could stab herself right then and there, and would feel better just to be rid of the embarrasment. He stood on two legs, and herself on four. No. Thats not what I mean. Stop making those alarmed faces. "Well, if you have to go, then you have to go...." Emily sighed. One could have sworn that they saw an anime-like sweat-drop appear on her forehead for a split second. "Its seems that you are the only other pokemon here who thinks that this event is stupid and completely pointless. The other being me, of course." Had she just put herself in the same square as the Treecko? Yes, yes she did. "See ya around." She tried to be nonchalant as she waved, but completely failed.

Hiro laughed a little bit at her flipping out. "It's no problem at all," he told Beatrice ",I'm Hiro by the way." He looked slightly confused now thinking about how coffee was backwash ridden. "If you use water from the sink and ground coffee, how is it backwash? It's not like people spit in my coffee." he asked of her, thinking of anyone who would do that. Lunar maybe, but he had only just met the guy. He wasn't that kind of jerk. Yes he was.Lunar yawned and returned to his room. His partner would collect any prizes the party goers would get. Besides everyone here was mingling and flirting, two things he refrained from ever doing. Or thinking about doing.
